and thus concludes the worst trade anyone could ever have made...which was Yao and a bag of peanuts for Josh Smith.  Wow, that one hurt.

That was a direct result of the arms race with Pisces, wasn't it?

I think (I have tried to repress the memory), but I think I was pretty much beat that year as a result of the arms raise and Pisces excellent trades.  I made the trade when Yao was injured...but prior to the injury being as sever.  the thinking was yao as a 50 ppg guy, he was more valuable then smith who was in the 40's.  plus, the bag of peanuts, I think was something useful.  but then yao never really played for me

Yao Ming, Courtney Lee, Luc Richard Mba a Moute for Josh Smith.  At the time, both Lee and Mba looked like young up and comers who while never destined for stardom, seemed like 20-30 ppg guys (if I remember correctly)

LOL, I wasn't planning on taking this long, but then I got a phone call, and then I started taking care of something at work. Apologies.

With the #40 pick, I'm taking Keith Benson.

Free agency won't start until everyone cuts down their rosters to 16 players, which won't happen until the week or two before the start of the season. I then upload rosters into the Yahoo! league, and let everyone start submitting waiver claims for free agents.
