Interesting.  It's like people are initially enamored with Brooks (he's received some decent returns thus far), but then they get buyer's remorse.

Anyway, that's pretty good value for MMSB, and it could work out for the Drinkers if Brooks can land a starting position again after he comes back from China.

I really like this for MMSB, Im not sold on Brooks, but I do think he has more talent than barea.  so if he can harness it and get solid PT it could be a good move.

It depends which player the league sees going forward.  Is it the 10.7 points on 37.5% shooting guy from last season, or the 20/5 guy from two years ago?

I really like this for MMSB, Im not sold on Brooks, but I do think he has more talent than barea.  so if he can harness it and get solid PT it could be a good move.

Clearly Brooks does have more talent than Barea - that is clear.  What really pushed me into doing this deal is that Barea is playing in the NBA this season and I get a pick in a pretty deep draft.  I think it is a decent return for BFM if you are willing to wait on Brooks.  If he lands on some crappy team, he could very well be back to 15-18 ppg with some AST and STL in there too.

Haslem + TJ Ford + Barea + Rondo2287's #2 for Reggie Williams and Aaron Brooks.

I don't regret that trade at all. I was going to cut Ford by evening if I wasn't able to move him. Brooks had a bad season last year, but he can definitely bounce back..he has the talent. I gambled and it could go either way.

Also, a saving grace with this trade is that the Drinkers' are only giving up the 20th pick in the draft, after Utah's swap with the Naturals.   May as well call this one a second rounder.

(I kid.  Somebody needs to battle Wiggle for the role of lead villain, though.)

sure, OK.... say what you want but as NBA bench guys last season Gibson and Rudy were each top-30 in 3pt/gm... Miller will be back there again this season. I'm not giving them away... 

Hey i'm not holding a gun to anyone's head and I'll glad sit back and play each of these guys (Kenyon when he's back stateside) against any other team, Nats included    we ain't scared! UBUNTU!!!!
