What do you guys think???  I hate to lose Rondo and Jordan but I feel like this deal could help me now and in the future.  What are your thoughts?

I like this trade a lot for the Designated Drinkers. Rondo and Jordan are young and talented. Plus the #1 pick should yield a very good player. Next year's draft is suppose to be very strong.

Beasley is a beast and may be the best fantasy player in the deal. However, Kyrie Irving is a bit of a unknown. If he turns out to be Wall or Paul, Bacon does very well. However that is not a certainty. Bacon should be able to flip Duncan, but I am not sure of the return.

A decent trade for both parties I think.

Generating some discussion:  which players do you think will be helped most if we go to a 72 game season?

I think it's going to help out a lot of the fringe younger guys.  With 4 games per week on average, it's going to put the onus on younger legs.  Especially on veteran teams like the Celtics, I think you'll see the younger guys get more run than usual.

In other news, Avery Bradley is on the block.

A 72 game season will be good for young players who need & can take advantage of more PT and older players who are predominantly healthy and in-shape like Ray, Nash, and maybe even Andre Miller (although in-shape doesn't count for Miller).

The players who will be hurt the most will be the one's who's first names start with J and last names start with O.

I think the games played over/under for JO would be 28 games...

I'll take the under.

I know I overpaid quite a bit..but I wanted Rondo..and Andre is a nice young prospect...plus I get the first pick. I may very well regret this trade...but for now, I'm okay with it.

I think the trade was better for you. I look at it like this.

Rondo for Beasley - edge Rondo
Kyrie for DeAndre - As of now a lot of what ifs for both guys, so a wash
Duncan for a 1st - 2012 pick and Duncan is possibly playing his last season - edge pick
Jones for 2nd rounder - Jones gets no run but its a second rounder so small edge to the pick
