Its pretty obvious they don't like ocho, which doesn't surprise me at all with radio guys.  Teddy's little tirade is unwarranted, he honestly sounds bitter that he wasn't there playing.  giving your teammate sincere accolade for a job well done doesn't deserve that.  But Ocho can't do any thing right to Boston radio guys.  Teddy needs to get over himself, and sit down somewhere.
To be fair when you wear three Super Bowl rings, played in two other Super Bowls and are probably a top ten linebacker all time you can pretty much say anything you want to a loser like Ochocinco.

Patrick Willis
DeMarcus Ware

I would say maaaaaaaybe top ten of his era. But top ten all time? Not quite.

Probably not, and neither is Patrick Willis or Clay Matthews, yet.  But there are lots of great names left off that list who are ahead of Bruschi.  Junior Seau, for instance.  Ray Nitscke.  Jack Ham.  Derrick Brooks.  Charles Haley (high-bred).   Harry Carson.  Chuck Bedarick.  Willie Lanier.  Bobby Bell.  Nick Buoniconti.

Lots and lots of great names that rank ahead of Bruschi.  I doubt he'd make the top ten middle linebackers of all-time.  That's not a slight on Bruschi; there have just been a lot of great linebackers.

I think those of you accusing Teddy of being an attention seeker are being awfully presumptuous.  I don't see why this isn't a perfectly plausible scenario:
I think deeper, its teddy as a fan coming out with frustration over OC's production thus far in the offense.

I hear people saying that Teddy needs to chill out or get over himself.  I think some of you may need to...

A) I think Chad's tweet was more innocent compliment of his own team

B) I think Teddy's rant was more motivational than malicious upon hearing it

C) I'd bet my life Chad scores next week

I do think he will be. As of no now, but give him time. The guyaverages like 13 sacks from the OLB I say that as a niner fan. This list was just to illustrate that Ted is not quite at that top tier.

Ah, I see.  Fair enough.

I think you have too many modern current guys in your top ten right now.  Kinda surprised to see no Jack Ham, Chuck Bednarik, Derrick Thomas, Sam Huff, or Ray Nischke in your list.

I feel you. I was just trying to name at least 10 LBs better than homeboy bruschi. ANy list like this would have LT right at the top of it.

Saying outrageous stuff is the only way TB has to get the public's attention anymore.

Unlike TB, Chad 85 is still on the roster... for now.

Therefore, TB should can his criticism of 85's tweets... for now.

If you don't have three rings or more.....need not apply

You taking Trent Dilfer over Marino then too?
I would definitely definitely definitely take Trent Dilfer's career over Dan Marino's.  Not even a question. Who would you rather be? A champion or a synonym for loser?

It's interesting that you say he's not a top 10 linebacker or top middle linebacker, because he played both at a high level. And he played defensive end. Did Lawrence Taylor do that? Taylor has two rings. Granted that's three Super Bowl appearances short of Bruschi, but still.

People say my arguments don't hold up.  But this is the thing. How does theirs? I say "This guy was the best because for a long time this guy was a key cog on the defense of the best team of all time, and certainly of the free agent era".  The response is basically "Oh yeah. Well That guy is better just cause he's better!  Ray Lewis is so intense. He picks up grass! And Urlacher was on the front of a video game!"

My argument is "This guy is good because he won"

The other argument is "This guy is good because he is good".   That's the argument between Montana and Marino. It's such an easy conclusion.

Clearly, Sam Jones is the best SG of all-time, and the second best player.  Right?

I loved Bruschi but he doesn't sniff the Top Ten LB's of All-Time list.

He's not going to make the HOF, either.  He'll probably get a few votes here & there but it won't be nearly enough to make it in.  If he's not in the HOF (when eligible), he's not making a top ten list of mine. Rings or not. Especially when you consider some of the men who are in the HOF and played the position.  Some real all-time greats.

To me, the rings arguement only holds water when you're comparing similar talents.  That's when I start to look more and that factor and, perhaps, use it as a tiebreaker.

A very solid LB and exceptional team leader on the first dynasty of the 21st century but I leave it at that.

Best LB of all time...  Bill Romanowski?  He is tied for the most rings, and has the most Super Bowl starts of any LB.  Clearly, then, he's the best; it has nothing to do with playing on the same team as Montana and Elway.

I agree with everything Dons said, including about the HOF.  If it took Harry Carson -- a 9 time Pro-Bowler, who Bill Belichick called the best all-around LB he ever coached -- 12 years to make the Hall, then Bruschi is never getting in.

Yeah I don't think Bruschi is even in the top ten LBs of his era.
