  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
I have never heard of a lot of these beers.

Yeah a lot of Midwestern stuff.  A beer that can only be sold in Wisconsin is probably out of my reach.

Right, and I'm not saying these beers are good or bad, its actually interesting to hear about them.

Beer is one thing America still makes everywhere in the country, and I love the diversity.

You guys ever heard of Ubu?

Saranac area?

My buddy went to school at Paul Smith and introduced me to it when I visited him.

Yeah, it was the local celebrity for a long time around here, until they got bought by the crappy brewery from Utica.

Fairly mediocre beer, but college kids love to pretend its mana from the beer gods.

Beyond Alkaline Trio and OK GO! That whole album was a disappointment.

I just remember going to some bar in Saranac Lake and getting growlers of the stuff.

Rusty Nail Saloon Selects: Saranac Black Forest Ale

I've drank a lot of this beer (I don't know how it is where you guys are, but the Saranac Sampler Pack at $13.99 is one of the best deals out there for taste vs price), and its a pretty good one. Not elite or anything, but very drinkable, not that strong (so sessionable), and unique enough so that you'll stand out at the Rusty Nail.

Nice! Thanks, KC. I thought I saw this was on First Listen.

Was pretty bummed to see Weezer got 'Rainbow Connection.' Was hoping someone a little more gifted vocally would get that.

Yup, Black Forest was a good beer for us college beer drinkers on a budget out in Ithaca

For our 11th pick Sam N Ella's selects...

New Glarus Spotted Cow

We have Miller Lite for the non-connoisseurs and we love our other beer selections but decided we needed a "session beer" for the connoisseurs.  Spotted Cow is an easy drinking beer that you can drink, and drink and drink...

**NOTE, THIS SELECTION COMES WITH A SPECIAL DISPENSATION TO SELL NEW GLARUS WHEREVER MY DREAM BAR IS LOCATED (WE DO NOT WANT TO GET A FINE FOR SELLING CONTRABAND--SEE LINK BELOW)**

You've gotta be kidding me. QUIT ENJOYING THE SAME LOCAL BREWS THAT I LIKE. Alright, hold on...

Sorry Champ, you, me and Dons are fighting for the same local stuff...

So did you choose buttermilk fried chicken as your food?
