  • Be the posts you wish to see in the world.
Just for fun here were some of my rejected names:

The Withered Rose (too gothy)
The Crusty Boozehole
The Rusted Tap
The Drinkin' Drive
Noun (slogan: "I got verbed at Noun")
Missouri Loves Company (too regional)
Tipsy McStaggers (Simpsons did it!)
Professor Fairweather's Phantasmagorical Foodatorium and Drinkery (ditto, kinda)

Thoughts on Bar Names:

Most Interesting Bar In The World - Rondo2287
: Truncation problems (MIBITW? Is that a pokemon?) aside, this name only goes as far as the bar does. If you walked into that bar, and the beer selection was uninspired, the waitresses were less than hot, and the crap on the wall was less than interesting, you'd hate this bar. But, if it rocked, you'd respect it. Undecided.

If somebody takes Dos equis before me i might have to do a name change haha

Can you take TMIMITW as a barkeep, or does that make him less interesting?

Eye Peas Ye Olde Pube was one I considered, but if I'm being honest, I've always loved calling a bar "Finnegan's Wake", after the song/poem.

Also, 'The River Rat Lounge' is another one I'd consider in real life.

Missouri Loves Company is a great one. Winner winner chicken dinner.

8        11:40 AM     Shenanigans                     Kwhitt10

One of the reasons I picked that name.  The other reason is that Shenanigan's on W Broadway was the first time I tried a certain type of beer and fell in love. Hopefully I can draft (or draught  ;) ) it in this.

I'm just happy you didn't go with Rusted Tap.

If people don't mind I would actually like to change my name.

since I wanted to do a country western bar I think the most interesting bar in the world is a bit out of left field.

If people don't mind my bar will now be called

17+ might have attracted the wrong demographic.

Like for instances, I thought about naming a bar 'The Polar Bear Club' once, because of the ritual of diving into holes in the ice for charity during the winter where I live.

But, turns out its this whole other thing too.

Take out one of those 'o's and you've got a real interesting dynamic. The Rusty Nail Salon?

Yep, part of the allure of 17+ was the double entendre...but I decided to go in another direction.
