To be fair, take the top 2 picks away from any team in this draft and see how they look.

How does the sixers team look without Wad and Iggy? The Kings without Lebron and Chandler?

None of it is pretty. And, aside from maybe some of the latter 20's teams, not any worse off than mine.

Lowry
Harden
Delfino
Jerebko
Lopez/Tolliver isn't a playoff team, but they're not that much worse off than the actual rockets, IMO.

Except they have nobody nearly as good as Scola or Kevin Martin.

I think the Sixers could roll out a credible lineup without their top two players, but I doubt it's a playoff team, either.

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas

I think that team is better than the No-star Blazers, but of course isn't a great team.

I'd argue that Harden isn't that far away from Martin, because we're talking about the guy who was arguably the second best player on the conference finals thunder team in the playoffs.

Scola is a valid point though, in my head it was Jerebko over Patterson, I'd forgotten about Scola.

But Harden is a far more well rounded player than Martin, and only in his second year last season. He's the hot pick for Breakout Player next year for a reason.

How did Westbrook get into this conversation?

Seriously, I'd love to hear the argument where Harden was better than Durant or Westbrook in the playoffs.  He had a higher FG%, but that's about it.

Search James harden Russell Westbrook not even close in google.

Also mgent, use your backup 3 instead of delfino, then look at jerbko's 09/10 stats compared to martins, and consider Jerebko is in his early 20s and just added 15 lbs of muscle. It's a lot closer than you're portending.

Yeah, I don't buy it; that wasn't a particularly good argument / article in my opinion.  Heck, that's as bad as the Bleacher Report citation we had earlier. ;) Westbrook was the secondary scorer and primary ball-handler on that team; Harden was a role player who shot open jumpers.

Kings without Lebron and Chandler

Billups/Jennings/House
Matthews/Neal
Miller/Singleton
Millsap/Jeffries
Diaw/Mohammed

I still think that's a playoff team. Kinda reminds me of the real Portland Trailblazers, a little.

I don't know, nick.  Mike Miller sucks, and would bring down that entire starting lineup.  I'm also not a big Diaw guy at this stage.

I don't see it.  Kevin Martin is a better scorer and a proven starter.

Anyway, hype time is past.

Congrats to both mgent and IP for jobs well done.

Congrats to KC for his TOTF title.

Congrats to all the other GMs that participated and the people who stuck around constantly and gave us their opinions on things.

Really great draft this year.

TPs to the commish.

I'm not portending, I like Jerebko I think he's close to Martin.

But if I use my backup 3 doesn't that mean I get David West?
