im pretty surprised at how many people feel portland wins, considering the big picture (entire team, including coaching staff, rather than a couple of frontcourt matchups).  nothing against IP, but i think his ability to debate and "sell" his team won people over.

well, it is "fantasy" basketball  ;).  congrats to portland if they ended up winning.  even if i dont think portland is that good, i gotta say, IP is good :)

Can I just say again how much I dislike this implication?

My team is good. I've got some of the best players in the league in positions 1,2,4,5, an explosive young talent off the bench, and good role players in the rest of the slots who do their jobs very well, and have proven so.

I get if you're (and others) are down on my team, but that doesn't mean that I'm selling everyone who likes my team a bunch of magic beans. It just means you don't like my team.

I understand there's no malicious intent here, but I worked hard on this team, and I think its pretty [dang] good. Honestly I'm not selling anything I don't believe in.

i think all the gm's would say something similar due to the time and energy they put into it.  anything u dedicate urself to you tend to build strong emotions behind.

i dont want to sound like im picking on your team.  i only became critical of it when you asked me to explain what i dont like about them.

there wasnt any implication, it was was actually a testiment to your ability to debate.  in the end, while i didnt like your team, many others do.....so i may very well be wrong in my assessment.

Conference Finals

Kings -- Sacramento win in 6. Always have an extra gear.

Sixers -- a very even series that goes the full seven games but Wade has the final say and sees Phily through to the next round.

The key to beating Lebron, in my mind, is having a tough team defense and a star player that can step up.  The Blazers have that this round, and I'm a believer in Harden.

Wade was, ulimately, the tipping point for me in the ECF.  Think it goes 7 but Wade does just enough to get them over the top.

In the West, well I changed this one about 3-4 times.  I'm a firm believer in size and Portland has it in Bogut/Amare.  Lopez is competent off the bench and I just like their big men better.  Harden will do fine from the SG spot.   Lebron will get his but I have some concerns about the supporting cast and I think Portland has slightly more depth.  This one was extremely tough to call.  All three GMs in this matchup have put together outstanding teams.

Same.

Tough to vote against IP because I really respect his ability to debate, but I had to go with my gut in both cases.
