Trade Confirmed

Warriors: Baron Davis

for

Jazz: Andre Miller

So at the close of the draft(-ish), the Warriors look like:

PG: Steph Curry, Andre Miller, Steve Blake
SG: Sam Young, Roddy Beaubois, Corey Brewer
SF: Nic Batum, Thad Young, Corey Brewer
PF: Dirk Nowitzki, David Lee, Thad Young, Derrick Favors
C: Marcus Camby, David Lee, Derrick Favors
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

Just depends... Jamal Crawford can play that role and so can Chris Duhon. I am actually looking to move Nick Young (17 ppg) for a solid backup. He can shoot real well off screens and from deep, can attack the basket, and really took off after Arenas was shipped out.

Catching up on today's trades...  I hate this for Boston.  They went from being one of my favorites to come out of the East, to an also-ran with this trade.  In terms of production, Boston wins this handily.  In terms of winning, New York does, I think.

I liked Miller's consistency and capability in your lineup.

Baron brings an explosiveness but also a volatility to your starting five. Miller would keep Pierce and Gasol flush with touches. Baron will look to shoot more (better shooter than Miller, granted).

I think Baron's injury history also places greater pressure on Crawford and Duhon.

I see the risk-reward of the trade. I just don't know whether the degree of the reward outweighs the risk?

Fortune favors the bold. I still think the Jazz have a monster lineup.

Kings Send: Jarret Jack
Orlando Sends: Brandon Jennings

That's a steal for the Kings.  It's amazing to me how much people have soured on Jennings.

I like this trade for Utah.  I thought their team looked a little stale and they just added a nice firecracker.  Will B-Diddy be a positive or negative influence on the team?  I really don't know yet.  But when he's played with veterans and on contending teams before, he has been awesome and that would make this team much improved.  If not, well, the way I see it is that old Utah team wasn't going to make a lot of noise anyways.  So it's no risk, possibly high reward.

Whereas for GS, they do NOT need a firecracker.  Dirk is an undeniable leader that can lead a contending team and he is best surrounded with steady players.  They got that.

Good trade for both teams

I got him originally for a pick one round above where he was picked. However, I don't think he would be as useful if he had to back up CP3 and only get 10-15 mins

The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

Davis is a better player (and fairly underrated on here), but voters seem to like Miller more.  So, in that regard, it makes sense for both teams.

Yeah, Baron as a starter in Utah is exponentially more valuable than he was with my team on the bench. Miller is better suited to play the steady hand behind Curry, while Davis will be happier (i.e. in shape, less sulky) with Pierce/Gasol.

DON'T BE TRADE-RAPED!

PM StartOrien or myself if you are considering trading a player that might be a good fit but are definitely getting less value.  We might be able to help you get more value!  And we're bored and will give TP's!!!   ;D

Baron is a nice fit and here is little insight into why...

When he plays for a loser he plays like a loser. When he plays for a winner, he plays like a winner. Throughout his whole career he has always came to play in the playoffs! Baron thrives when he is on the stage. Just look recently at when he played Miami both times this season. For Baron the lights were never brighter then when the Heatles came to town especially when he was in Cleveland. When the clips came back against Miami in LA Baron played well in that span to help achieve the W.

Even more when Miami came to play Cleveland at the "Q" Baron killed it. Just watch as he seals the game by forcing the turnover on James and then blowing by Wade:

I already advocated for why I like Baron on your team, but you're calling that clip a big stage?  That was a regular season game with a 10 point difference in the score when he deflected the pass.
