Weird to see a lack of action today, I've still got a bunch of rotation worthy guys on my board.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
This is still true:

Also, if anyone is short a draft pick (as in they're only gonna have 12 guys before the draft is done), I'm willing to trade 2 13's for a 12, or a 12/13 for an 11.

Make the deal, you won't be sorry!

Dallas - Coach Nate McMillan
That was the guy I was surprised to see on the board so long.

One of the best coaches in the league.

Actually, there is one more Head Coach that I am surprised wasn't or at least hasn't been selected yet.

I was hoping Miami would choose him back when they had Billups on their roster.

I was suprised that SAC passed on Dwane Casey. He got the most out of Tyson Chandler than anyone has in years, and he orchestrated a defense that utilized a long athletic forward and big tough defender at the 2, while kind of hiding Dirk.

Casey was a no brainer IMO, especially with his world champ credentials.

EDIT: Actually, after Mgent picks I'm gonna switch to Casey. I like Gentry but Casey will help my D much more.

Meh, a coach is a coach especially when you have the 23rd choice at one, Rick Carlisle was fired from the Pistons cause they said he sucked and then brought the Mavs to the finals after they couldnt get there so many times before.  Did he all of a sudden become a better coach after getting fired from Detroit?

Interesting ... Chauncey is one of the reasons I chose Coach Karl. I think I know what you're getting at, though, and it also makes a great deal of sense. ;)

Yeah, a coach has to match his lockerroom. Carlisle matched Dallas's but a lot of people agree that he shouldn't have be dumped by Detroit. Remember, it wasn't about performance, it was to make room for Larry Brown.

But thats why I did it, Coach Frank has always wanted to coach Lebron, or so he says, and with what I saw of him this year, they way that he worked with the veterans players I thought he would be a good fit.

My view of D.Casey after his tour in Minnesota was that he was a solid Head Coach with a good defensive minded approach. A good coach but not a great one. Not someone I'd pick to lead a title contender.

I'd consider him to be a transitional coach. Someone to come in and help direct a failing franchise in the right and build a solid foundation for the future. But unlikely to be able to lead them to the mountain top. Sort of like Byron Scott.
