I'll be checking PMs later tonight, to see if any progress has been made on the various trade discussions I have out there.

Who will make their selection first: me, at 7.23, or Edgar, in the Coaches' round? My money is on Edgar.
Hurray for pick sitting!  >:(

IP is kinder than I am, I'd have declared you as missed your pick and take the BPA at this point.

Meh, I don't really see the point in that.  At this point anybody can pass Lucky and he knows it.  He is actively on the board, he knows the risk involved in sitting on his pick.

There's a policy against "pick-sitting", and I think IP announced earlier that all picks should be made by 6:00pm.  Based on the rules, this probably should be a Commissioner's pick.

As for the point of it, it's to prevent those from pick last in the round from having an unfair advantage (i.e., an extra 12+ hours to have trade discussions for the next pick, when the first pick is supposed to belong to the person owning 8.1).

It's not the hugest deal in the world, but it's a long-standing rule.

Dear jerks and jerkettes,

I've got to go to the bank, and meet with a client about a handrail and some siding. (Yes, that's as boring as it sounds) Plus, commute to work.

So, when I get back, we start. If Lucky hasn't picked by than, I'm picking Orien Greene for him. If you sent me trades to be approved last night, send them again. If you're going to miss your scheduled pick time, send your lists to your list buddy so they'll make it for you. Also. I got one, but not the other confirmation from one trade last night.

Love,

Sorry, guys. I think I was strung along by another GM, although maybe it was an honest miscommunication.

With the 7.23, Chicago selects Brandon Bass.

Look...I said I wouldn't trade John Salmons for Nash + Noah and I meant it. No stringing along or miscommunication there

Let me backtrack: it's my fault for not submitting that pick earlier. I should have sent it in before logging off last night, but I didn't. I rationalized that I could send it in this morning, and didn't give enough thought to how that wasn't really fair.

So, mea culpa, and my apologies. I promise I won't let that happen again.
