Bottom line: Douglas is already a nasty defender and will become infinitely better when I select someone other than D'Antoni.
I would've picked him for his defense, scoring and outside shooting, and I doubt many others would've passed on him this round if he fit a need.
I agree, which is why I thought the Boston series was so bizarre. He's not a bad defensive player, but he was pathetic.
Probably a combo of it being his first playoffs, Chauncey getting hurt so he was forced into a larger role, and the Celtics beating the living crap out of them with a broom.
That plus I bet D'Antoni told him to play 10 feet off of Rondo and then when Rondo went off for like 30 D'Antoni had 0 clue what to do.
