  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
actually I have my pick.

with the 12th pick in the 5th round of the 2011 CB Draft, the Atlanta Army Ants select a guy who can be immature but none the less solid.

AnDRAY BLATCHE

Nice, this is the guy I thought would be a good fit for your team. A headcase for sure, but you need frontcourt talent in a big way and he's got the most sheer ability of any big man left.

yeah, only thing is he's a nut. but he's solid. can score and rebound. a little slow on defense but not a liability. i like this pick. The Rudy Gay mishap isn't looking that bad after all. Well, it still is but no so bad now.

You are kidding right?

This is the guy that admitted he was soft on the radio.

This is the guy that never goes within 15 feet of the basket if the other team has a shot blocker.

This is the guy that wouldn't go back in the game because he refused to listen to his coach and play defense.

he plays alright for a soft big man for me. and he's kind of athletic. and with Rondo be able to create shots for him it will be a good thing going. The question is how to get him to listen.

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.
Alright, so with extreme apologies to wdleehi, his trade partner, the CB Draft, and my community, I will take this opportunity to prove to you that I am responsible enough to make a draft pick without destroying the core process of the game we have come to know and love. My fellow Americans, I have let you down, and I have destroyed the trust that you have in me. My hope, my dream, is that we can rebuild that trust. That you can once again count on me, City Alderman ChampKind, in times of need during your fantasy draft. That I can be the fantasy GM that this blog not only needs, but deserves.

Thank you. Good night, and good luck.

That said,

I need an insurance policy for DeAndre Jordan, and a resident old man to battle Edgar's frontcourt on the nursing home courts, so I'll take a guy who can rebound, defend, and block shots without needing the ball on offense:

5(10): Marcus Camby

This.

This right here is why if I was stranded on a desert island and could only fake draft with one GM, ChampKind is right at the top of my list.

I'm never speaking to you again.

Lucky, Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

Awful.

Blatche is a player you want to keep away from your team.

For all the good the defense of Rondo and Wallace does, Blatche will give it all back.

But he's a post presence and something that I really think I need for this team to be effective.

I still have a spot for a C. I just need to choose a defensive minded one to help him out. And there's quite a few more out there.

And he's not that bad on D. Not really good either but not terrible. I'd take that chance along with his 16ppg and 8 rpg and his inside presence.

He is not an inside presence.

He is a jump shooting big man.  He likes to shoot from one spot (as a colleague with Wiz season tickets tells me as he watches him shoot from that one spot and only that one spot during warmups)

When asked on the radio if he would go in the post to score more often if it would help the team win, his answer, only if defender jumped on pump fakes more.

And there is no defense.

im alright with the no defense. i believe there is but i concede. on the other hand he's still averaging close to 2 blocks a game (1.5 actually) and he can score, albeit jump shots and can rebound and is big. I think he fits.

I have zero problem with Blatche at this point in the draft

Agree with this, (TP) ... I had him going late 5th to mid 6th, and I think that he can be effective with this team, despite the loose cannon issues, (coach choice could help, too).

that was I was thinking. he has raw potential to be an offensive asset. The defense might not be there (i believe there's a little) and he's a nutcase but he can still put up productive numbers. And with a pass first PG, a solid help defender in Gerald Wallace I think he can be alright in there.

I think I know who I want at 5(13), but I'm open to trade ideas if anyone else is as bored as I am.

I'm not sure if we're opened back up, but I'm gonna take my pick and hope that it's within the boundaries here. I need a veteran PG with size to play behind Ty Lawson, someone who can defend bigger guards and facilitate an offense. This guy's got motivational issues for sure, but I think playing with Dirk will help him turn it around for the 5th or 6th time in his career. As long as my team plays well, he'll be solid -

5(13): Baron Davis

Now please, no one remind me of the fact that I just picked up the guy the Clippers gave away the #1 pick just to get rid of.

I'm going to eat now before my 5.17 pick and if my main pick or my backup are drafted...IDK I might just have to call up wayne brady to choke some sense into you  ;D
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.
