The Detroit Piston select a 1st round talent with injury history with the 11th pick in the seventh round. That talent would be Greg Oden

I am a registered Oden doubter. Man is never gonna be healthy.

With the 154th pick in the 2011 CB Draft, the LA Conspiracy begrudgingly select:

Darko Milicic, C

Haha the Human Victory Cigar. Had him as an extreme backup C pick. I like it for a 7th round pick. Still some good picks out there

I think he's a bit moer than a novelty.  He was 5th in the nba in blocks per game last year and 3rd in blocks per 48 minutes amongst all players.  I now have 2 out of the top 3 players in blocks/48 last year teehee.

Excellent pick for the 7th round.  Like I said, this is the round to take gambles.  Nicely done, even if he is out until January.
Where did you read he'll be out until January? Chances are everyone will be out until January anyway.

Kinda co-sign. I still think he could do it, but in this voting format, I can't vote in favor of him being healthy when i've never seen it.

NOOOOOO
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

I am going to have drafted 13 players after 10 rounds. I am not picking him with need in mind. I want people to like my team without him and then think about how much better we could be with a healthy Oden. In the end he's going to be icing on the cake.

The Phoenix Suns select (7.7) Omer Asik.
Great pick, he had a great defensive rookie season.

I wouldn't go so far as "great pick", if only because of Asik's overall lack of productivity.  I think he's got limited upside, and 3 points and 4 rebounds probably would have lasted another round or two, if I had to guess.

EDIT:  Or not, if jgod's reaction means anything.  I'm surprised there's so much interest in him.

I really wanted him too.  Didn't think he'd go this early.  He's a good 10 min per game backup C and if you have a very good starting center already, that's what you're looking for.

Yeah, I thought the value defensively of being able to keep one of A.Bynum or O.Asik on the floor made Asik the most valuable backup big man option for my team.

HE's a pretty good pick if you want to shore up your defense in preparation for Bynum's inevitable injury.

That too ;D

I think he can easily up that to 20 and maintain his points and rebounds, all while playing stellar defense at the C spot. Well worth a 7th round pick.

Agreed -- I thought Asik would make a quality starting center in a 24 minute a night role. Similar role and type of contributions to what Perk gave the C's during their title run.
