Not an OLB. Not a DE. Are you ready for this. Plaxico Burress. I have just gotten around to the idea, after seeing him interviewed recently.
He is exactly what the Offense needs. It's a low risk and an extremely high reward gamble. And we all know that if he's a punk he's gone, no harm no foul.
It could be Randy Moss all over again for two years. He's the only thing that the offense is lacking right now. He's 6'5" 215 right now fifteen pounds under his playing weight, (which I think is great) You won't find another guy that Big, that fast, that athletic, in the game outside Calvin Johnson.
He's the reason we lost the Superbowl, a physical mismatch against are then midget cornerbacks. Think about in the redzone with Grodkowski, Hernandez, Welker, Plaxico and any one of the RB's and pick your poison.
Mike Vick has turned it around and I think Plax is going to follow the same path, and what a blessing if the Pats were willing to give him that chance.
In the playoffs you need that big time reciever, we didn't have that over the last couple of years. Welker's great but he's not that guy that you can throw it up to when you need a big play. Say what you want about Plax but he shows up for the big games.
We win the Superbowl this year if we get Plaxico, he'd make that kind of diffence two years out of jail, that's how talented he is.
