I kind of like this. SG is a lot harder to fill than SF and honestly, Pierce has 3-5 years of 14+ PPG and starting level defense. Pierce isn't overpaid, he isn't declining, and he is a perfect leader. We really don't have a need for Green, who needs to start. Gordon is short for a SG, but he can hit shots. Another thing is that he's 28. Not too old, not too young. Plus playing with Rondo will increase the longevity of his career. He's set to make 11 million next season, and 12 million after that. Then he can be resigned for 7-9 million a year. Do it! Davis is more important than Green.
Would this be our depth chart for next year
PG) Rondo, West(a must resign), Bradley
SG) Allen, Gordon
SF) Pierce, Daniels
PF) KG, Baby(must resign. too important to let walk)
C) Jermaine, ?
+ 2 draft picks
Still leaving 2 spots for someone else (Von wafer? Kwame Brown? Sasha Pavlovic? Troy Murphy?)
