We all know that AI and Monta Ellis have been rumored to be on the move.
I think the celtics should work with these teams to get themselves involved and contribute pieces to a 4 team trade that would bring back pieces for them in return.
Here is my trade idea:
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=3on3dhbBoston would be getting a scoring threat in Monta Ellis. His pure scoring ability would make up for the loss of Ray Allen on the offensive end of the floor, while his defense would be much improved under the direction of KG, Paul Pierce, and Rajon Rondo. This acquisition would provide the celtics to have an extremely quick front court, and would give the celtics a dominant scorer to go to down the stretch of games.
The C's would also have a great grouping with Rondo, Ellis, and Green on the floor. Those three players are fast enough to get out on any team and run in transition. This type of play is key to some of the success Miami has had this year. With These three running on the break, 2nd unit player Kyle Korver would have tons of spot up three's in the corner and he is a knock down shooter who would knock most of them down.
The Chicago Bulls move Carlos Boozer due to the fact that he was completely exposed in these playoffs. He is still a great player, just not the one for their system.
Philly will get Boozer, who overall averaged higher PPG and RPG in the 2011 season than AI had done. Also take in to account him playing with the dynamic scorer; Derrick Rose. In Philly, he will score more per game and overall instill a veteran leadership in that young locker room. Philly will also receive Ray Allen and Avery Bradley from Boston. Ray will provide Philly with a knock down shooter and will also provide that young team with more veteran leadership. Avery Bradley will be a young project for Doug Collins. Bradley with a little more work could be a shut down NBA defender. With the help of coach Collins he could develop his offense and be a great player in the next 2-4 seasons.
Golden State get's the man they've been after all along, AI.
The Chicago Bulls will replace Boozer with Elton Brand, someone who might work better in their system. Jermaine O'Neil proved that he can still play at a high defensive level in Boston's playoff run. He would be a great piece off the bench for the Bulls. He blocks and alters shots, and would add to the teams already stout defense.
I love basketball... and I just wrote this all because I enjoy this type of thing. It more than likely isn't going to happen, but hey... who knows what type of move Danny has up his sleeve.
