Here is a cool scenario (IMO) after reading some of the rumors.
Boston Trades - Clippers Pick, Jeff Green, Ray Allen, Avery Bradley
Philly Trades - Andre Igoudala
GSW Trades - Monta Ellis, Andreis Biendrins
Boston Receives - Andre Igoudala & Monta Ellis
Philly Receives - Andreis Biendrins & Clippers Pick (from Boston)
GSW Receives - Jeff Green, Ray Allen (likely a buyout), and Avery Bradley
Why for Boston?
Boston gets younger, more athletic, and more offense while losing little. Igoudala takes Ray's place and Ellis takes Green's place as sixth man or vice versa. Both these guys are locked up and they create a great perimeter trio for the next few years with Rondo. Pierce in there too. Plus maybe Ray Allen is bought out and resigns with the Celtics of GS decides to save cash.
Why for Philly?
Philly needs a center and Hawes didn't provide what they needed. He can be moved to the bench. Biendrins is a solid uptempo big who blocks shots and rebounds. He would compliment Brand defensively and he will not be asked to score with Brand, Young, Turner, Williams, Holiday, etc. on the roster. Also they get a potential lottery pick from Boston in a deep draft and move Iggy who wants out.
Why for GSW?
They need size on the perimeter, and instead of taking on more salary with Igoudala's contract they get Jeff Green for less then half. They get a talented perimeter forward and the chance to clear salary cap space. Green could possibly thrive on that team and they have the choice to keep Ray as potential trade chip. Alot of contenders would like to have him for the playoffs at the end of the season. A great shooter on an ending contract is movable. Or they buy him out and save money. Also Avery Bradley is a good prospect for their system.
Anyways... Thoughts?
