Here is a cool scenario (IMO) after reading some of the rumors.

Boston Trades - Clippers Pick, Jeff Green, Ray Allen, Avery Bradley

Philly Trades - Andre Igoudala

GSW Trades - Monta Ellis, Andreis Biendrins

Boston Receives - Andre Igoudala & Monta Ellis

Philly Receives - Andreis Biendrins & Clippers Pick (from Boston)

GSW Receives - Jeff Green, Ray Allen (likely a buyout), and Avery Bradley

Why for Boston?

Boston gets younger, more athletic, and more offense while losing little. Igoudala takes Ray's place and Ellis takes Green's place as sixth man or vice versa. Both these guys are locked up and they create a great perimeter trio for the next few years with Rondo. Pierce in there too. Plus maybe Ray Allen is bought out and resigns with the Celtics of GS decides to save cash.

Why for Philly?

Philly needs a center and Hawes didn't provide what they needed. He can be moved to the bench. Biendrins is a solid uptempo big who blocks shots and rebounds. He would compliment Brand defensively and he will not be asked to score with Brand, Young, Turner, Williams, Holiday, etc. on the roster. Also they get a potential lottery pick from Boston in a deep draft and move Iggy who wants out.

Why for GSW?

They need size on the perimeter, and instead of taking on more salary with Igoudala's contract they get Jeff Green for less then half. They get a talented perimeter forward and the chance to clear salary cap space. Green could possibly thrive on that team and they have the choice to keep Ray as potential trade chip. Alot of contenders would like to have him for the playoffs at the end of the season. A great shooter on an ending contract is movable. Or they buy him out and save money. Also Avery Bradley is a good prospect for their system.

Anyways... Thoughts?

There's no way Philly is getting rid of Iguodala to take on Biedrinis' contract and a mid 1st round pick.

You honestly think teams would be dumb enough to hand us the two best players in the deal on a silver platter? And for only a young unproven potential whose going to be a free agent, and an old shooter who wont be able to help with rebuilding? Dream on dude, lay down the pipe.

Not enough value for GSW or Phily.

I agree. A total steal for the Celtics.

Unfortunately, it's the Warriors and Sixers getting robbed.

I think a more realistic idea in getting in on this 3 way trade is having Iggy go to GS, Ellis to us,  a S&T with maybe Krstic and Baby with a pick to Philly, or some sort of combination to get Ellis here.   Ellis long term maybe isn't ideal fit to put next to Rondo for a small backcourt, however I like him as the more aggressive scorer next to Green if we were to keep both long term.  I think Ellis is the type of guy we could turn into more of a defensive player as we have with others here.

I'm thinking that GSW is getting screwed in this and can get way more for what they are giving up.  Also, I don't think this solves anymore problem for the Celtics than it creates.  I don't know how you are going to split up these minutes between Ellis, Iggy and Pierce unless you plan on giving Ellis significant minutes at PG.  I also want nothing to do with Ellis.  I love watching him, and I thought he should have been a lottery pick back in 05, having said that he's always going to be nothing more than a great scorer on a bad team.

Hmmm. Not sure if Ellis can even spell defense. But I like the trade for all the reasons you mentioned. Problem is Hawes (Team Option) is similar to Kristic, and Davis would have to find minutes around Young and Brand. But that would give the Sixers more experience and Davis defensively is the type of veteran they might look at.

Would Ellis sacrifice numbers to come off the bench? Don't think so, and with RR controlling the offense Ellis might not touch the ball as much as he did in GS. But they said that about Frazier and Monroe, which worked out pretty well.

i swear ray allen is the rodney dangerfield of this blog, no respect what so ever..how many game winners has ellis made? he carried us in that epic bulls series a couple years back and i personally think we dont man handle the knicks quite the way we did without him..theres been tons of westbrooks and ellis's throughout nba history but ive only seen about 3-4 players who can bring to the table what ray does
