  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
At first i was very concerned about his up and under game but the more video i watch, the more i like this kid.

good attitude, is hell bent on improving his jumpshot and can still rebound quite well with not much hops (he's the tallest kid in the draft so that helps).

In case you haven't seen this. interview+workout session.

could be the best replacement for Baby with alot more potential to become a force down low on the block.

"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

From what I have heard about this kid, he sounds kind of like his ceiling is close to Krstic.  Not bad at that point in the draft, but I am not blown away.

That sounds like a decent/accurate comparison, actually.

I guess I'd be OK with Vucevic, if the team were able to somehow acquire a legit rebounder for the rotation through trade or free agency. Vucevic measured out with the worst vertical in the entire combine.

He said that he models his game after Pau Gasol.

I think he has a bit of a higher ceiling than Kristic. . .

I think Celtics nation should stop trying to predict who Danny is going to draft for the simple fact that I don't think we've ever predicted correctly when Danny picks in the last first/second round... I mean... who would have predicted BBD and JR Giddens?

I'd rather they buy an extra pick and go for big upside with Jeremy Tyler and Lucas Nogueira .

Too many projects is a bad idea (unless they were sending them to Europe for a year or two).  Go with one of them, so you can actually have the resources (and court time) to develop them.

See, I don't see any big men coming to fill the need this season so I think you have to fill the need with players who might have an impact this season. Especially when you consider that Vucevic is not going to be a difference maker this season, even if he scratches his ceiling, but if either of them have a break out season they could have an impact.

If he can help right away its perfect I herd he's pretty bulky just wondering how he is on defense...
Hope danny doesn't draft any projects. This team needs impact right away. So I'm pretty sure he should be looking for the following

Nba body
Defense
Rebounding
Athleticism

NJ Krstic or return to the NBA Krstic?

That's an important distinction. Pre-injury Krstic was a pretty tough customer.

I think I'm 0-for-whatever predicting Danny's draft moves.  Still, I think there are a lot of serviceable big guys in this draft--and Danny will take two of them.

(Which yes, I suppose means he won't.)

If one of us correctly guesses who Ainge drafts do we get a prize of 100 Tommy Points?
