Well, I think this pretty much illustrates the only person who knows anything about basketball besides myself is Edgar.

Anyhow, I already won this thing weeks ago.  My team is the most likable to me, the rest of you can't possibly share that perspective (lucky for you!).

IP,I don't understand your logic in giving me the top offensive team but leaving me out of top five overall. If you're willing to give my team top offense, seems like there'd be enough defense on the squad to get me up there.

Honestly, I found selecting a top 5 really hard. Leaving out Phindiana was tough, and I re wrote it like 20 times. Two teams I would've elevated further if I had a gun to my head would be indy and miami

As I said, I thought the teams so close that I thought there would be a tie and sure enough there was. As IP states, you get your top 5 together and suddenly you realize that there are 3 other teams that deserve to be there.

I tried making a top 5 for each category as subjectively as possible and really I thought there were about 9 teams that could fit into the top 5 in each category. It was extremely difficult.

I give the panelists credit for a job well done. It wasn't easy I am sure.

One panelist even came back with a redo on one particular category and another waited a couple of days to do one category because that panelist needed more time to decide. Its tougher than it looks.

Big kudos to Nick for the win ... definitely the most balanced team on both sides of the ball, and to the panelists for an extremely tough job - all these teams were great, and I'm glad I didn't have to make the decisions. Also to Nick for all the hard work that went into this ... I would say it was a huge success, (almost 3,700 replies and 34,000 views? Wow!), and that there will most likely be a full 30 teams participating next time. TPs all.

I will gladly take the tie for best offensive team with Bahku. Ironic that its a tie between the team led by Jordan and the team led by Wilt. Also will take the top 4 finish. (Next year, I'm sending more bribe $).

Last year's game was fun, but this year's edition was even more interesting with the inclusion of the 50's through the 80's being made available.

Congrats to RebusRankin, Nick and Bahku for your awards!

I did a little better overall with my team, and look forward to balancing it out even more next year.

I must say this was a very difficult exercise to rank.  I'd make a list then go back to the team profiles and realize there are a lot of teams I liked.

I'll explain my rankings tomorrow as I'm sure people are interested in what I saw in some teams and not in others.

I just want to congratulate the winners and everyone who participated.  I may not have posted that much in the threads, but I definitely read probably 90% of them and tried to soak up as much info from everyone's arguments.

Another difficult thing was trying to rate players who I have not watched during their time (due to my age) to players within the last 20 years (since I've been old enough to remember watching NBA).

You were one of two (?) who left Indiana completely off the ballot for best offensive team. What was it about the eRazerz offense that you didn't like as much as the five you did rank?

I have a question for Edgar and its not even about my team. You had Atlanta on both your best offensive team ballot and best defensive team ballot but they didn't make you top five best overall team ballot. How did that happen?
