Shaqs career is exactly as old as me. I grew up with Shaq. It's weird picturing the NBA without him.
Can't particularly say that i loved the way he played or that i enjoyed watching him but the sound bytes and humor he has provided make me love the guy. Honestly, has there ever been a funnier proffesional athlete?
When i think about Shaqs legacy years from now i'm not going to think about the Magic, the Heat, The Lakers the Suns or even the Celtics. I'm not going to think about his championship rings or his feud with Kobe. I'm going to think about SHAQ. The way he played the game, the way he presented himself and what a great guy he was. What a unique player and person. There will never be another.
I wish he could have won a couple more championships (ecspecially with the celtics!) but they wouldn't add to his legacy, it's already set in stone.
Hope to see him on the set of TNT very soon telling it like it is with drunk Charles.
