  • Rondo = Good
Why would Celtics give Rondo for a ball-hogging egoistic self-centered PG to play on a team of 4-5 HoF guys?
This question should apply to every Rondo trade idea.

::)

Rondo = not MVP candidate
CP3 = MVP candidate

Question answered.

  Rondo finished ahead of CP3 in the MVP voting.

  I was thinking about asking snopes.com to start up a page covering all of the incorrect negative claims made about Rondo by *his own fan base* but I doubt they could spare the resources and still maintain any of their other pages.

  Oh, and in case it comes up anywhere, Westbrook's name did not appear in the mvp voting.

One of the best trades I have seen lately. Makes sense for everyone.

Boston - Rondo and a pick and get CP3. Not much else to say, clearly we do well in this trade.

Atlanta - trades a player who is rumored to be ready to leave and gets a quality PF who might be just as good, an actually SF they have been lacking, and a pick or 2 in a strong draft.

New Orleans - gets 2 young dynamic potential all stars, may need a pick to get it done for them but heck I like it for them too.

Chris Paul is a ball hogger?  Huh?  Chris Paul is a better passer then Rondo, commits less turnovers, shoots at a much higher percentage, and does all that as his teams first option.  Paul is significantly better then Rondo and it isn't close.

That said this trade will never happen because the Hawks aren't morons.

Remember this?

Chris Paul is not a hog.

That said, I don't see why the Hawks do this.

No way Atlanta does this, but I think Boston and NO are on board.  Atlanta wants to ideally move Horford to the 4... and even have been playing Smith at the 3 to help accommodate that.  Acquiring a guy who is a pure 4 in West would completely thwart that.

I thought of expanding this trade to include the Clippers.

Clippers get Marvin Williams, expires together with Blake Griffin, Hawks get Chris Kaman to start at C. Boston send JO to the Clippers.

Trade machine isn't working properly now and the trade checker says david west has an option, but I think this should do it, it adresses every teams needs atm.

Boston; Chris Paul

Atlanta; Chris Kaman, David West, Trevor Ariza, 1st rounder

New Orleans; Rajon Rondo, Josh Smith

LA Clippers; Marvin Williams, Jermaine O'neal

I don't think it is enough for the Clippers. And NO will probably get the Celtics pick because they are giving up 3 starters. But Atlanta probably can't say yes fast enough.

I actually thought about it, since they get Kaman our pick could go to NOH instead ,but why wouldn't it be enough for the Clippers ? you mean picks ? incase Atlanta could give theirs next year, if it's a matter of picks it shouldn't be an issue.

Hmmm because Chris Paul is a better player than Rondo??

I think that might be a good enough reason but I don't know. I am new around here.

I think rondo has a lot more value than some think...he is a massively popular player from a PR perspective. His NBA guernsey sales are through the roof just as an example.

That said after seeing him return in the playoffs after that arm injury, rondo obviously puts his heart and soul into this team. So I'm reluctant to trade him for anyone.
