The single best defender any team on the playoffs has had on Kevin Durant has been Russell Westbrook.

can you imagine westbrook taking the last shot while paul pierce is waiting for him to pass the ball? If westbrook does that when he knows he is second to durant, how much more if he knows he's the best of the team (in boston)?

Rondo for Bill Russell in his prime?  I'd have to think about that one...

Westbrook is a black hole, ball hog and he seems like a jerk too. No thank you.
I can think of only 1 PG, perhaps 2 that I'd trade Rondo for. And that guys not one of them.

Ugh.... I mean, if theres a team out there, comprised of:

Rajon Rondo, Kevin Durant and Kendrick Perkins

And its not the Boston Celtics.... i'm going to be sad.

Not saying its a bad idea. But man.
Rondo to the Thunder improves them considerably more than Westbrook to the Celtics. As a matter of fact that is a championship caliber team right there.

You couldn't trade Rondo for Hondo!

Now Rondo/Kristic for Westbrook/Perkins  would be a curious move. lol

I think I would secretly start cheating on the Celtics with that team. Not willingly but I don't think I could help it.

Yes I can imagine that. It is real easy. We see it about every game when Rondo comes down with the shot clock or game clock expiring and chucks up an off balance jumper or misses a wild layup with 3 guys hanging on him. Didn’t matter that Ray was wide open on the wing, or PP was up ahead of him. Very easy to imagine… At least Westbrook can actually shoot!

yes i would do it

i like rondo but russell is just as good, russell more of a scorer

but with the big 3 getting older i think we need a better scorer in the starting lineup

Westbrook is a volatile player, he was upset because his teammates didn't run the correct plays.  Nothing more nothing less.  Brooks left him on the bench because his backup was playing well and they were winning.  Nothing more nothing less.

I would not make the trade right now.

Rondo is a bigger draw for offensive players.

Rondo is know as an assist guy.

Westbrook is getting the reputation of a gunner.  Someone who didn't pass enough to one of the top 3 scorers in the NBA.

What I am interested in is if they decided to make Westbrook the SG.  What would the cost of Harden be?

they arent trading harden and he would cost more then what we have anyways

At this point, no.

I am talking in the future if they ever decide to move Westbrook to SG.

I think it makes both teams worse.  OKC needs Westbrooks scoring, call him a ball hog or whatever, but they need his scoring.  They have Sefalosha, Ibaka and Perkins starting alongside Durant and Westbrook, none of those guys are going to scare anyone with their scoring.  They have Harden on the bench to score, but they don't have much other than that.  Rondo wouldn't be able to give that scoring dynamic which Westbrook has.  Now I do think we need another scorer on the C's, I think we need it from the center position, having a selfish PG isn't going to help this team.
do it

OKC should consider using Maynor at the point next season (team option 2013/14), and RW at SG. No way they consider ever moving Westbrook who's contract is right near the value of D. Rose and K. Love. Is Daequan Cook (team option) worth a split of the MLE?
