1) I wouldn't do this trade.
2) It is better than some of the trades I see proposed on this forum.

Edit: And of course, whatever trash might be necessary to balance the trade gets included.

Then why would you suggest it?

Rondo for Baron Davis and Anderson Varejao ... Sounds like somebody's taking a page from the great prophet Danny Ainge ...  :P

I don't get it. There's hundreds of trades I wouldn't do. Are you saying it's potentially a reasonable trade but you don't like it?

I'm saying people keep posting ideas that I think are much less reasonable than this one and it's driving me crazy.

If there was a way to include the #4 pick and get the salaries to match, I would do it.

To me, Rondo is someone with MVP potential.  I'm not concerned about trading him.  I'm concerned about him hopefully finding a way to give his body lots of rest this summer, while working very hard on his shooting!

i dont want potential i want immediate gratification

he has had time to prove him self and thru the years we will be forced to watch that great game 3 but other than that we need a ring next season..

rondo is not a leader

Someone who shoots in the 50's for free throws and has trouble averaging more than 13 points a game will never be an MVP, not even close.

With Deron Williams in the east now, he'll probably never be an all-star again. John Wall, Deron Williams, and Derrick Rose are all better than him.

rondo is not a leader

Despite all the claims to the contrary by Danny, Doc and the players...

I think an intriguing offer would be Rondo for Varejao and the #1 pick, if they really like Irving.  But there is no way they take on Baron's contract.
