I don't know why people are so sensitive about Rondo trade ideas. He is our only valuable trading chip so I think it's at least a good exercise to see what we can get for him and play around with it.
This is an interesting point. It does seem as if Rondo fans can be a little sensitive about trades revolving around him. I understand the hesitance to talk about trading a young, perpetual all-star PG whose signed to a VERY reasonable offer, but the resistance to discuss the idea seems to be frequently over the top.
It's pretty straight-forward ... when you like a player and feel he's your best chance for the future as far as someone to build a team around, why
wouldn't you be resistant to trading him?
This is all about personal opinion, folks, and when you don't feel trading a certain player is in your team's best interest, then you
say so.
There's no way I, (or anyone else), will ever stop the Rondo trade talk, nor
should we be able to, but that doesn't mean we all have to like it or agree with it.
Just as those who post those ideas have the right to do so, I (and others) have the right to disagree with them, and make statements about it.
I could just as easily say that thread after thread concerning trading our floor leader, (and one of the NBA's best PGs), is over the top, but it's just how those people feel, and they're entitled to those feelings ... as I am mine.
