Name    Year  Position  Height Weight  FG%  3PT%  FT%   RPG  APG PPG Blocks Steals

Robert Horry   94-95   F     6-9  220.447  .379.761    5.2  3.4 10.2 1.2 1.5

As for Horry's year, it was his most productive and as #3 on this video shows, he was already Big Shot Rob:
17.8ppg + 10rpg + 3.8apg + 3.0spg + 2.25bpg

Also, just under 4 makes from downtown per game on 38% shooting, TS% of 57% with only 1.25 turnovers per game

Robert Horry's numbers in the 1995 NBA Finals against Orlando.

Congrats on 16k posts, Who

I like that  my team and my answers to the league wide questions have been met with no responses, I'm going to take that as a league wide , " Yeah, that makes sense, your team is really good" comment.

Robert Horry sucks

Boom. Roasted.

At being clutch?

Naw, at being 'Hancock'

In his defense, Hancock was bad at being Hancock.

In addition to crunch-time lineups, could everyone identify their end of game closer?

(Sorry if this has been asked before.  I'm a day behind on this).

Larry Joe Bird

Can't say I'm shocked by that one.
Yeah there are a lot of fairly obvious ones like Larry, Lebron, Kobe, Michael, Kareem, and Wilt. Maybe Hakeem. Then there are others that can go in a couple of directions.

I had some debate with Sir Charles, but if I had to name 1 - and I'm not much of a 'closer' guy - I'd say Wade.

I stated for me it's the lakers, but to other owners:

Is there a team out there that you think is a particularly tough match up for your team? Just a single team that really seems to match up with you particularly well.

If not, please spare us the boasting and talk about how you love your team. WE GET IT

Obviously Memphis' go to guy would be Lebron James, though he may be a facilitator more then a scorer in that role.

I believe my team is tailor made for a half court offense.  I don't think I will be getting out on the fast break much if at all.

I will have three crunch time lineups depending on the game situation.

The General Main Lineup will be my starters, i.e. Paul, Pierce, James, McAdoo, Malone (obviously how the guys are playing would dictate some of that).

The Offensive Lineup will be Paul, Pierce, Lebron, Vandeweghe, McAdoo.

The Defensive Lineup will be Robertson, Paul or Pierce (depending on the opposing guards), James, Jones, Malone.

I believe the Heat would cause my team the most problems because McHale and Wilt will be problematic for my starters.  I think if I put Jones in McAdoo I can fix some of those issues (at least defensively as Jones always played McHale well), but Wilt is the one center that I think could neutralize Moses on both ends of the floor.  That said I think I have a real advantage on the wings and thus it would really come down to which team could play to its strengths the best.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Yeah, I'd just put the ball in Oscar's hands and see what happens.  If he can get Clyde, Dr. J, or Hayes open great (i'll probably have Sheed out there for spacing).  Worst case scenario:  Oscar has to put the ball in the bucket himself (oh no!!).
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Here's another question for those owners who deign to grace us with their presence this morning: When you look at your team, how deep is your rotation in your mind?

Yeah, yeah..I get that its matchup dependent...but realistically are you seeing a 10man rotation, or are you seeing more of a 7-8 man unit?

Mine was 9 (Wilt, McHale, Barry, Thomas, Richmond, Lanier, Sikma, Lever, T-Mac) with the other 3 as matchup players or for foul trouble.

Sorry for late replies, here...I'll be getting to everyone's questions here shortly I just got back from the Dr.

End of game closer? LA?

For us it will more than likely be Kareem primarily, with Worthy, Dumars, KG and GP in that order.

Kareem, Worthy, and Dumars are all NBA Finals MVPs in my starting lineup, so they'd know about clutch.

And please don't forget about THIS guy's closing ability:

Talk about a dagger. The salt in the wound to LA here is that Ralph had already lit them up for 27 pts that game.

We all know that the game seems to slow down in crunch time.

Who thinks they have the best half-court set/lineup and why?

Me, Miami

Wilt and McHale down low. Single coverage they both hurt their defender. If you double either, the one not doubled scores easily. At the same time, I have passers and shooters in Barry and T-Mac on the wings that can kill you with outside shooting. I have a top pg in Thomas to run the show. Thomas and T-Mac can both break down defenses if need be.

Missed the crunch time lineup question -

Mine would really depend match up to match up. I'm sure Wade, Barkley & Russell would be out there, but the other 2 spots would depend on the situation / opposing team.

So who is the best run n gun team? ****Can't nominate yourself***

I'd say CHI, Indy and DEN in that order.

Any team with Magic is automatically offensively potent.

I forgot to answer that one, I have 11 guys that I think will get minutes every game (and the other two would be in a defensive or offensive lineup if necessary), though some are obviously more limited.  In this type of situation where every team is so good from top to bottom, I think fatigue will play a much larger role then in regular basketball especially if this was simulated for a whole season.  I want to keep my starters as fresh as possible for end of the game situations as I think these games will all be fairly close and very physical.  By utilizing a deeper bench, I think it will only help the team close out games. Obviously game flow and situations might dictate some guys getting more or less minutes, but I would like to use 11 if not all 13 every single game.

I hope people don't forget Oscar was Magic before Magic.  He set the foundation for big PGs that can look over the rest of the field and was probably a better shooter.

I'm not saying Oscar is better.  But I think Clyde vs West is pretty much a wash (and in the open court I might even give Clyde the advantage) and Dr. J would absolutely destroy anybody Chicago trots out at SF.
