I greatly disliked the Glen Rice pick.
Too limited in the number of ways he can contribute + too much of a liability in terms of defense and rebound to be picked as a rotation player in this environment.
As President of the Glen Rice fan club let me defend him:
I think his defense and rebound (4.4 rebounds per game) are both average.
As far as great seasons go, I think Rice's 96/97 campaign is often overlooked. Again, 26.8 points per contest on .477 shooting, and .470 from 3 on 5.6 attempts per game. Offensively, a complete assassin for the entire season.
For my team, it's pretty much just about spacing. Having a shooter that doesn't need the ball, and is comfortable catching and releasing. I've had him pegged as the perfect compliment to my team ever since I drafted Wade.
