  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
The Atlanta Hawks would like to announce that Chuck Daley is the new head coach of this ball club thank you.

Reason I picked Daley great coach was able to deal with all the egos on the dream team, so now he has a few of those guys, Kobe and Ray Ray!

I believe he was the second picked coach.

Ignoring my team I think it goes:

1. Philly
2. Miami
3. Indiana
4. Portland

At this point I don't think anyone else can catch up to these teams.

In no particular order, my favorite teams right now are:

Indiana, Chicago, Denver, Miami, Portland

And I think anyone of the remaining teams could surpass them in my mind at least. In a game that features only stars, its all about the symmetry.

Indiana

Portland

Miami

Thing is at the end of this I would not be surprised to have ties of several teams in several categories. Every team IS THAT GOOD!!!!

Looking for opinions on my next pick, I'm thinking Gerald Green is a great fit for my team.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

I had the exact same reservation, and I'm basing it soley on Bill Simmons' "What If LA had Draft Nique Instead Of (Undrafted Player)" Piece.

My top-five, in no particular order:

Portland
Miami
Chicago
Denver
Boston (despite the AI pick, which I didn't care for)

Interesting...not crazy about the Nash/Wade/Barkley/Russell uber-Suns?

Remember gents, especially in a league of all time greats, defense wins championships.

Not sure what to make of that team as whole yet.

I love the Russell, Barkley and Wade parts.

Not wild about Nash ... waiting to see what happens to the rest of the roster.

I like the approaches most teams have taken. Its interesting to see the focuses and mixing of talents. I know I have had to adjust based on guys being taken ahead of my picks (Pippen, Frazier come to mind).

As good as Russell is, we have some long-ass teams here.  Is a 6'9" and 6'5" front-court really gonna cut it?

You know, I felt the same way about Boston. I loved everything about that team until AI was added. Kinda like Dominique in Philly, I just don't like the fit but with MJ, I think Jordan has a strong enough personality and Nique has enough respect for MJ to give up some of the ball where there wouldn't be TOO much problems(remember they did play together on the Dream Team, afterall).

Are you gonna tell mister 11 rings that he can't hang with the modern athletes?

And as far as Charles Barkley goes..he played some pretty awesome (and as long at today) competition, with way more aggressive defensive allowances, so I have no reservations that the Chuckwagon would be as good in this setting.
