Ray Allen!

I think he adds a tremendous dimension to this. Some may say its to early but good luck guarding my team!

Not sure about this pick. It's definitely early for Ray and I think there were more than a couple SGs who were pure shooters I might take before him but, he is an efficiency machine and high character guy and awesome team mate so there's nothing to not like about the pick.

Just not sure I would have gone this early for him if I was Atlanta.

I think Kobe at SF is gunna work fine he has a 6'7 frame good length and is always determined plus having ray on the wings is just scary

I think my team would do fine. Ray has nothing on Hondo, Stockton will get eatne up by Clyde and Malone is tough but not for Timmy. I still have to work on Kobe but I could put Hondo on him and just find someone else for Ray. I think you'll run into trouble stopping my guys, Kobe and Ray are not staying with Hondo and my bigs you have no answer for.

No problem with Hayes though.  Roy, since you brought up which year, here's a question to the panelists:  the fact that a player won the title in a certain year technically doesn't matter right?  I mean it's not like we're putting them with the same team they had that year.  I guess my real question is what matters more numbers (how they actually played) or awards?

I'll probably look at playoff performances a bit, but winning a title isn't an automatic amplifier.

SG - Paul Pierce (01/02 season)

Clear no-brainer for me at this point.  Getting huge size at SG in a year when Pierce shot over 6 three's a game and hit over 40% of them, scored over 26 a game, and still had solid rebounding and passing numbers all as a SG (also played some time at SF giving my team a lot of roster flexibility).  He was also an excellent defender that season with a DRTG below 100 and was actually 4th in the league in defensive win shares at 5.6 (along with 7.3 OWS for a total of 12.9 good for 5th in the league).
