As a heads up, the Payton debate got a bit more ....intense....than it should have. Really no need for it, especially when Dons, A MODERATOR AND PANELIST, told everyone to chill and yet the debate went on.

Let's just agreeably debate stuff and if it looks as if someone is sticking to their guns after a few posts, agree to disagree and move on.

Rick Barry just threw a temper tantrum due to the lack of praise given to him here and his pick. Thanks guys.  ;D Its almost as bad as Kareem and Statuegate. ;D

Best picks per round per value, no fit:

1st. Jordan, no fair but its great to have No.1 pick, Shaq. I can pick him No.1 and feel good with myself.

2nd. McHale and its not even close or maybe it is but not in my heart.

3rd. Wade and Stockton.

Early for them.

1st. Bron

2nd. Pippen

3rd. The Glove

Still one or 2 second rounders are still there
I cant beleive it.
I know people is playing this positionally wise but its intriguin and maybe the biggest 2 sliders on the draft.

I love Barry scoring but I think he can easily be found on round 5 of this draft.
But i can of course as usual be wrong.

Thoughts on my Wilt-McHale-Barry frontline?

Very good, and sound fundamentally. I'd have my concerns with them being able to keep up with some of the more athletic teams if I were you.

Wilt and Mchale were athletes.

How do you see them doing against the Dirk-D12 combo?

Wilt McHale eats DD for breakfast

And Jordan eats them all for lunch.

I'll admit, I don't have a Jordan counter yet. Maybe locking him out of the stadium.

Larry laughs at you all and mercilessly cans game winners on you with his eyes shut and one hand tied behind the back while you cry like Big Baby at a sold out cheeseburger joint.

I was wondering when Captain Hyperbole would strike! ;)

I've got some points that are about a billion times better than that one coming!
Yup

Ouch. I guess luck of the draw is my only strength, huh? What did I do to deserve such high praise?!? ;) Somebody had to be first in line, but it shouldn't be seen as an unfair advantage, especially in a snake draft that's so full of talent. Anyway ... thanks for your honesty. (TP)

Favorite pick this round:  John Stockton.

He was my backup if Bahku took Tiny.  But I needed me some Tiny.  Somehow I think Stockton and Bird would have ended up arguing with each other anyhow.
Yup

This draft just got a lot tougher.  Up until now you could kind of guess when guys were gonna go, but I have no clue who you guys are gonna let slide from here on out.

I am surprised by all the Stockton love. I took him last year and in the same general spot and was crushed for it.

I have much respect for Stockton...the unfortunate thing is that he was stopped by Bahku's #1 pick from getting a championship - just like my guy was.

I think you could put together an all-star team with just the players that Jordan stopped from getting a banner.

I sort of wish I had played this, but I don't have enough time. I am enjoying watching everyone make their picks though. There's one player who I'm absolutely amazed hasn't been picked yet. I thought he might be first round.... I suppose that's why the game is played!

There are two that haven't been picked yet that I thought would be first and second round, (I'm sure we're thinking of the same guy) ... pretty interesting and fun to watch things develop. Maybe you can join us next year, (I'm hoping this becomes a regular part of CB). You really only need a few minutes a day to make your picks, though the discussion is quite a bit of fun in itself. :)

Crushed for it?  I know you traded up to get him last year, so I've got to think that the criticism was either aimed at what you gave up, or at your 2nd rounder.  I can't see what's not to like about Stockton.  He was a great passer, scorer, shooter, defender, he was efficient, etc.
