With the 8th pick in the 3rd Round of the 2011 CB Historical Draft the Chicago Bulls select:

Bill Walton

Thought he'd go sooner. He's a popular guy 'round these parts! ;)

Great acquisition!

D-Wade that is bold.

I don't think it's that bold. Gratned stats don't tell the whole story, but I don't think you're going to find any SG/SF that statistically had a season compared to Wade's 08/09 campaign.

Ok...after combing through other options, I think this one is the best for our team...a defensive-minded passer, who can score:

Great pick, I don't know if he's quite as useful as he could've been with the already fantastic passing in your backcourt, but great pick.
I think with the passing on this team the wide open looks people will get will be unreal.

Besides, I needed someone who could rebound and D up on all the great centers taken already and before the injuries there was no better defensive, rebounding center on the planet in the mid to late 70's. His 76-77 year was unreal. Led the league in rebounding and blocks and led the league in total assists in the playoffs

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
My offense will consist of Kobe being able to play off the ball and with the ball in his hands be an iso player. If that is simply not working that night run the pick and roll with malone and stockton. You cant tell this wouldn't work.

Well, that's just never been Kobe's game, that's all. Kobe Bryant and Karl Malone's Usage rates (how much they typically use a possession with a shot attempt/turnover/etc..) are basically alike, and John Stockton and Derek Fisher's usage rates are basically alike, so I wonder who is going to end up giving up the possessions, Bryant or Malone?

Neither one in their prime seemed like guys who would be willing. Maybe Malone?

He was a world beater that year, but I'm basing 100% of my opinion on that on his headband and how he reminds me of Teen Wolf, but cooler.

I think a lot of people who thought they were pretty smart for waiting on picking Payton just threw up in their mouths.

Gary Payton is one of my favorite point guards ever, probably top 5 favorite player. But I can't get my head around selecting him here.

Thanks. I did a ton of research on him..and others...there are still some winners out there, but I thought he'd fit well with my team.

Too bad that a certain number 1 pick stood in his way of getting a ring early in his career, even though he got one later on.

Good Point...and to be honest I was going to go with someone else...but I checked one other key stat on him (and others) and he turned out to be a better fit for me.

Basketball Reference is a God-Send.
