My buddy and I determined this morning that the optimal Celtic to exact revenge on Wade is none other than... Sasha Pavlovic.

Sasha is big enough, smart enough how to do it, and isn't a critical piece.  I'm not advocating injuring Wade... but the next time Wade goes flying to the hoop recklessly I would LOVE to see Sasha go hard at him and essentially clothesline him to the ground.

Or he could "pull a Wade" and throw Wade to the ground AFTER the whistle and play has stopped (ala Wade to Rondo).

I want Shaq to send him to the floor. No cheap shot, just old-playoff-fouling.

He is a great player, but I don't like him anymore. After doing that, he's joined Co-b and Artest's club.

Go Celtics!

I don't believe they should go after Wade, but if the opportunity presents itself and it will ... he should be fouled very hard.  That was a cheap shot by Wade.  He might not own it, but it was one.

Yeah, he's one of my favorite non-Celtic players along with Chris Paul

Guess I might have to rethink that after that dirty play...

For me, Rondo's comeback was already the sweet revenge. For sure the heat themselves know they were embarrassed. So why not let the elbows to the front teeth, uppercuts to the groin, etc be the icing on the cake? When the series has been decided.

He won't admit it but based on what he said, I bet D-Wade is scared... and he should be! :)

There should be absolutely no attempts at retaliation, just play the game, and beat the Heat tomorrow.

The best revenge is beating the Heat in this playoff series.

The Heat...have to be feeling the heat right now. Lol, did I really say it like that?

Still, the Heat now know that they have to win this game on Monday. They don't want to go back into Miami with the Celtics feeling it.

So like most said, don't worry about going after Wade, just win the game and send the hot potato back into Miami's hands.

It's sad - I REALY like Dwyane when he came in the league.  He was very humble in a Derrick Rose mold...superstardom has completely changed him

No the Lee Bron Poisen changed him.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
I think you guys are looking into this too deeply.
Wade was fine at the post game press conference.
He said he never wants a player to get injured and he respects the Celtics and Rondo.
People keep bringing it up and trying to make some drama out of it but you're just buying into ESPN type BS hype that they love to drum up.

The play was a common attempt to stop Rondo getting to the ball.
Kobe does it, MJ did it, Pippen did it. All smart players and veterans do stuff like this all the time.
It was just unfortunate that Rajon got hurt.
If he got up straight away we wouldn't even be having a discussion on Wade's integrity.

I think that Wade has made it his focus to not let his team be bullied by the Celtics which I actually commend him for. He's put up with our physicality for many seasons and he feels a need to let them know that he won't back down.

Just one of the many psychological battles going on in this series.
ie: KG v Bosh
PP v Lebron
Jeff Green v Lebron
Ray Allen v Wade
Ray Allen vs Jones.

LBJ+Wade vs the big four.

I think we just got a huge edge with Shaq coming back and physically imposing himself against Joel Anthony- huge lift for us as far as team 'toughness' goes once the starters are resting. Shaq kept in Jeff Greens ear all night the other night and kept him fired up.

Can't wait for game 4.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I don't want the Celtics to go into this game thinking about getting retribution on Wade.  I think that would have them in the wrong mindset unless their idea of retribution is correctly beating the Miami Heat with crisp screens, execution of their offense and solid fouls to prevent 3 point plays.

What I wouldn't mind however, is if the Heat came into the game thinking the Celtics are thinking of retribution on Wade.  If they do, then we're in their head which is step one.

Actually several of us have been questioning Wade's dangerous play for some time; this just added fuel to the fire.

The best payback by far would be for the Celtics to play their hardest, most physical, most aggressive "A" game, and kick the Heats' behinds in the next 3 games, and not to even give them breathing room to allow this to go to seven games. To get caught up in the emotion of a "retribution" would take their focus away from playing their best, and would only bring them down to D-Wade's level.

The best guy to give a hard foul to is Bosh. Sending him crashing to the floor all but assures that he'll mentally check out for the rest of the series.
