I'm very worried about Rondo.

Adrenaline helped him get through the dislocation but it's going to be very sore the next day.

He will probably play on Monday, but how much can we expect from him with a gimped left arm? He's a tough cookie though.

We NEED a healthy Rondo. Fingers crossed.

Why not Delonte? I don't understand.

He hurt his shoulder yesterday. Doc said in his post-game interview that it could be more serious than they initially thought. Later, West was interviewed and he said it was his rotator cuff, but he took a shot and went back in the game. He said after seeing Rondo come back in the game, with his elbow injury, there is no way he can't play.

Worried about West and Rondo not being there for us. Absolutely have zero worries of having to use Arroyo. He's not a fruit loop, he knows how to play and run an offense.

Folks, I want medics on Rondo for the next 48 hours, hot packs/cold packs, coritizone shots, and schedule the rests but the cycles. This is the playoffs, there's no time to fool around!

I think they both play.  The only difference is that Murphy might be inactive and Arroyo might be active.  Likely we won't notice much difference since neither will play again.

they both will play...and arroyo will be active for emergency minutes,,,BUT i prefer Paul running point forward if need be with jeff green sliding in with KG ray, PP and JO

I would think that would be a disaster. Pierce can't bring the ball down against LeBron constantly. Paul doesn't protect the ball well. If it was from solely a playmaking standpoint, then I would love that also, but the pressure they would give him bringing the ball down makes me dubious to think that it would work well, particularly with LeBron defending him.

not the entire game just in certain spots if the 2 didn't ply

That could work, but I hope if it does occur that they don't have him bringing the ball down, that they put a system of breaking full court pressure with him. Someone to help him out as soon as a defender gets on him so he can pass the ball forward.

I'll be surprised if neither play.

Rondo's elbow can be braced. The immediate issues are going to be inflammation and fluid. That will have to be managed, probably for the balance of the playoffs.

Both of them are going to need painkillers for the balance of the playoffs, too.

The fans might need painkillers also --  ;D

No offense vinnie, but topics like these are why people give you grief for your lack of optimism.....

Doc expressed concern about Delonte West's shoudler. Delonte on the injury: "Still lingering, but nothing that should hold me out."

I think more important thing to ponder is whether the Heat will fold as a result of tonight.

No offense, Tai, but that is what a board like this is for. Not to hide one's head in the sand and pretend things are great. Thanks for your opinion though, but I won't consider it in the future. And honestly, I really don't care what people think.

You've been nothing but negative. It's one thing to say you don't think we have a chance. But it's another to have every single post telling us we are all doomed.

Honestly, I don't know which is greater, your desire for the team to win or for you to be right.

Your predictions have been knee-jerk and wrong. Shaq played, we beat NY, and we have a good shot at Miami.

How about you give us a few reasons WHY we can and will win.

But I'm guessing you can't do that
Back to wanting Joe fired.

But I'm guessing you can't do that

1. I predicted the Celtics over the Knicks in 6, but that was before Amar'e and Billups were hurt.

2. I predicted the Heat in 7 and I am sticking with that prediction. If Rondo can't play it will be over faster than that.

3. The Celtics can win if Rondo can come back and play at 80 percent and if KG and Pierce play the rest of the series the way they played last night. Honestly, I don't think that will happen.

4. Here is how I started the post. Trying to be optimistic. Sorry it didn't meet your expectations: "Here is hoping that both Rondo and Delonte can get some great treatment and experience miraculous recoveries that will allow them to play Monday night."

5. I love getting advice from superfans.

well if there is one point in the league that won't be able to exploit arroyo's lack of D it is bibby.  I wonder if the offense would stagnate with him in though...
