Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

This is kind of a downer thread 4 hours before Game 3

You should spend the evening researching this while the rest of us are watching the game. Check back in around 11:30 or so and people will let you know whether you time was wasted or if your question is still viable.

In 1957, the Philadelphia Warriors and Fort Wayne Pistons were both swept in the Division Semis.  However, back then semifinal playoff series were best of 3, so a sweep was 2-0.

In 1996, both defending finalists (Magic and Rockets) were swept, but the Magic made the ECF.

That's it.  I don't think it's going to happen this season, either.

With the help of basketball-reference.com, it doesn't take that long. ;)

I just thought he might be looking for something to do this evening that would distract him from this evening's proceedings.

Think of it as an attempt at a reverse jinx.

Nope.

Whatever you may think of me, Tim, I certainly would not miss tonight's game.

Why?

Because I really hope they win.  But if they don't, this could be one of the last opportunities to watch this version of the C's.  This might even be one of the last opportunities to watch the Big 3 play together.

No way I'd miss that.

That's it.  I don't think it's going to happen this season, either.

I think you're right; I think there's a very good chance one or both of the series will go to 5 or 6 games.
