While we're complaining about Doc's rotations...

Delonte West was hooping his ass off tonight and I have NO idea why we didn't continue to let him play

Title of this thread should be Baby is TRASH!

Big Baby is not the whole issue but he is one of them. I don't see Doc decreasing BBD minutes but he could give some of the minutes to Troy Murphy, not the best of options but worse case scenario he's as bad as BBD.

Davis played 26 minutes tonight, so maybe you cut that to 16 or so and give 10 to Troy or 5 to Troy and 5 to Jeff Green. This isn't the end of the world and the Celtics can turn this around and win the series but it won't be easy for them and some hard decisions have to be made.

Celtics can still win this, like I said, all they have to do is try to take Wade and/or LeBron out of the game (not literally just d-up on them and make them take hard shots) like they did before. The Heats have no real bench honestly and Bosh is not going win by himself.

Big Baby is the issue. He isn't giving the Celtics anything. Net negative when Big Baby on the floor -34 in 2games so far. If that stat isn't alarming I don't know what is.

Jeff Green is too soft on defence. Miami makes a run and LBJ scores at will while JG gurding him. Why don't Doc try Sasha to guard LBJ and put Von on Wade? Both are quality defenders and hungry to play. Sasha may know how to stop LBJ somehow.

Well yeah that's just horrible and he is causing problems on the court but he is just not the only one. Granted if I had to pick the Top 5 issues right now he'd be number 2 & 3 behind Shaq not playing. Trust me I'm not defending BBD, I'm not a fan but I don't think one player is bad enough to bring down a championship contending team.

AGAIN the Heat don't have a low-post threat. This series is all about Speed & Athleticism not Big Baby's strongest qualities. Jeff Green is better suited in this series.

7:10 left we have just erased a five point deficit to tie the game up at 80. We have Garnett,Baby,Green,Pierce and Delonte West on the floor and have just stopped them twice on defensive.

He brings in Ray Allen and Rondo and the Heat go on a 8-0 run to make it 88-80.

When we have a good rhythm you dont interrupt it to go back to the regular rotations. You let it go and maybe we go up then if things start to slip then you sub in to make a adjustment for a mismatch or fatigue. Doc Rivers worst in game substitution coach in the playoffs hands down.

I agree Baby cannot cover Bosh and it was evident since the first quarter dont let it go all game my gosh. Play Jermaine and Green

WAKE UP DOC.

The game was tied at 80 or close to that when Ray came in but they then gave up 7-8 straight points before Rondo came in.

Can't wait to see where Baby ends up next season. He is far from the biggest problem on this team, but he has been horrendous in 5 of the 6 playoff games. Unfortunately, I don't think replacing him with Jeff Green makes any difference. Green had his best half of the playoffs in the first half tonight, then regressed back to the Jeff Green we all know and love in the second half.

Big 3 played too many minutes too fatigued to carry it down the stretch. Wasn't that the original plan the new  bench players to help reduce the Big 3 minutes and provide offense. Well Green has not lived up to expectations and Big Baby is hopefully looking for another team in his free agency. Shaq a little too late. Ainge gambled and lost the championship. What an end to what started off to be great season.
KG looked his age, fatigued and mentally exhausted. Wouldn't be surprised if he just retires whether Doc back or not. I am happy he got one ring.

A shooter like Ray needs to get his shots. No one can convince me he only had 7 "opportunities" to shoot tonight.

I don't like Davis at all as a player, but this is on Rivers for constantly playing this guy when he has no business playing him. And at the center spot no less! If a guy is not producing, it's the coaches job to play someone who will. Rivers is doing a horrible, horrible job. He is the one burying JO on the bench for no good reason.

I was just correcting his post.

So, you were watching Ray wide open and calling for the ball and not getting it passed to him all night?

The Heat are over-rotating to our shooters...basically because we can't really dump the ball into the post. They were on just about every Paul and Ray spot up from three.

This is another element that could change with a Shaq sighting.
