Ok, it's just one game. Baby's been playing out of his role, and Doc is overplaying him. Baby is very good at giving you 4-5 minutes of energy play, outhustling the opponents and attacking the basket. Instead, he's playing big minutes, showing low energy and stamina, and falling for the jumpshot because of that.
I still don't get why Doc does that. Nenad is a better option than Baby most of the time. Baby is a great defender against big men who can't score away from the basket, like Howard, but almost every 6'9" player can shoot over him.
It's time for Doc to use his players properly. we're 0-1, and the time for messing with rotation is over. We need the playoff Celtics right now. It wouldn't hurt also if he played the Pierce/Green/KG frontcourt. Pierce and Green can handle most of the PFs in the East if they want to go small. The Green/Baby combo at the 4 an 5 is something to avoid.
Rondo is the key for this team, Baby just has to play within his role, but he's not the reason for the Celtics struggles.
Go Celtics!!!
