Perkins.....Goose Egg so far (Easter was last weekend Perk), 4 rebounds.  14 minutes of play.

Has also given up double digits to both Gasol and Randolph combined while he was out there defending either/or.  Randolph you can live with (because of the shots he's been taking), but Gasol ?  Gotta get quicker out there Perk

Ok...the more I think about it, OKC's going to need one of those four Bigs of theirs to have some sort of offensive lowpost presence this series, which may be too much too ask...ZBo looking like he's feasting out there.

Yup!!! Thinking the same thing. That's why the Celtics were at a disadvantage with Perk on the floor

"OKC doesn't need a scoring center because they have Durant and Westbrook"

Haha pleeeeaase

The scary thing is that Marc hasn't even contributed much  offensively - yet.

Once he gets going, OKC may not have anyone to body him up...that guy is just huge. I watched him in the post vs Duncan and he just looked too long for the Spurs.

Marc is a perfect compliment to Zach. Zach has upped his game, too - but those two bigs play very well off of each other.

Yup, their interior passing is so potent and deadly. Plus they rebound the heck out of the ball. Randolph and Gasol to me are probably the best two man tandem in the post

lol @ the perkins fall and flop
Andy Bernard doesnt lose constests. He wins them, or he quits them because they're unfair.

Westbrook has terrible body language right now. He should have been happy that Ibaka got that lay-in. Instead he was sulking.

As much as I love TA and Shane, they will have their hands full with Durantula this series.

Great steal by Tony (and a sloppy pass by OKC).

I wish we got Battier... this guy is a difference-maker.

wow nice block... MEM playin good right now

IMO, Ainge wants him bad. I see him in Green at some point
Well he's running out of time...

That's what they said about Ray Allen. Then their mouth got shut as Ray continues on and on
Ha, you're really comparing a career role player to the best shooter of all time?

No, not at all.  Pointing out that sometimes when experts or message board posters claim that father time is running out, thats not always the case.

Ray Allen is just one of the many teams/posters gave up on and said he didn't have much left in the tank.  They were wrong about him, and they can be wrong about a role player like Battier.  Especially since Battier doesn't log as many minutes as a Ray Allen.
IDK man, I don't feel you've got a lot of historical evidence on your side.  Guys who are in league because of their shooting and are as physically fit as Ray Allen are in a much better position to have a longer career.  You don't have to run and jump like a world-class athlete to hit shots.  Battier on the other hand is a defender.  Unless you're a big man you're not going to continue to defend at the same level as you get older and slower.  Now Battier might be one of the very few perimeter defenders who doesn't slow down with age but that has nothing to do with the fact that Ray Allen will stay in the league for as long as he continues to hit 3s at an above 40% clip.

You've also got to add into the equation that Ray Allen was still carrying a team on his back before he got traded.  He was just on such a different level than Battier is now that you can't compare their ages in a controlled setting.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Ever since Perk gave that wonderful headlock to Kobe a few weeks ago, I've been routing for an OKC-LA WCS.

But I'll be happy with MEM - LA. Zach will give Pau all sorts of problems. Zach's too hungy right now.

And TA and Batts will certainly slow down Kobe.
