Ya know I don't think the OP is right.  I've watched the ESPN, NBA TV, and TNT recap of our game and none of them were critical of the Celtics even in the slightest bit, which amazes me.  Everyone seems to be focused on Carmelo's game, Rondo's game, and the turnover/time needed to foul Delonte mistakes the Knicks made down the stretch.  Nobody seems to be mentioning that the Celtics have looked awful in 2 straight games, including the last game where both Billups and Amare were non factors.  I dunno, I'm always scared when Rondo brings his all, Ray is shooting well, KG is pulling down double doubles and we're still just barely squeaking out wins against this truly underwhelming & unthreatening Knicks team.

That's because they got nothing from the bench players.

Very true that the bench has been underwhelming.

I think the Knicks are a little better than people give them credit for. Melo is a flat out beast. He's every bit the load LeBron is on offense. Amare even though he was a non-factor last night is a straight beast as well. They have solid role players who know their role. They could be as tough as the old LeBron Cavs..

I am pretty sure the #1 indicator of winning the ball game is a + FG% and also a player who gets a triple double.

actually, i use the higher-scoring-team as my criteria for indicating the winner. so far it has worked very well.  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Yes, this was a gallant performance out of Anthony, out of these undermanned Knicks. The Celtics aren’t playing well now. They’ve executed in the final minutes, survived Games 1 and 2, but they’ll probably come back to Boston for Game 5 with the series 2-2.

Unless Stoudemire’s back doesn’t allow him to return this weekend, the Celtics won’t make it out of a rocking Madison Square Garden with complete control of the series.

So yes, Anthony will come back to Boston with a chance to steal Game 5, to maybe yet steal this series.

That seems like a giant leap to me.

I'm guessing its the medias blatant left wing agenda.

Yeah, I agree.  I think the Knicks will win 1 game, because it is just really hard to sweep a series in general, and this Knicks team is pretty good.  But I think the C's will also rise to the occassion in MSG, and take one of the games.

Good.

This team responds well to bulletin board material.

They also know that they arent playing anywhere near their best basketball

Amare even though he was a non-factor last night is a straight beast as well. They have solid role players who know their role. They could be as tough as the old LeBron Cavs..

Carmelo has a significantly quicker first step than LeBron. Of course, when LeBron gets a running start, there is very little a team can do to slow him down. But Melo is a much better shooter with a very quick release. I think he is the harder player to guard. LeBron you can turn into a jumpshooter and live with the results.

Also, Amar'e looked explosive in Game 1, we had arguably the best defensive presence in the NBA having a real hard time slowing him down.

On a side note, everyone is saying how bad we looked, but maybe it is just the Knicks have looked good. I fully believe the Knicks would have easily won a game against Miami the way they have played us. LeBron wouldn't do a better job than Pierce and Green did on Melo, especially in Game 1. And Amar'e would have just embarrassed Bosh.

Heck, Miami may have been down 2-0 to NY. I also think they could have taken one in Chicago with their efforts in Games 1 and 2.

Remember this team was really hot coming into the playoffs, winning 7 in a row heading into the playoffs. They even won two of them without Amar'e. They aren't as bad a team as everyone is trying to make them out to be. They are definitely the toughest first-round opponent we have had to face yet. They are more of a second-round opponent in terms of quality.
