Who's "the media"?  There's quite a few people covering this stuff.

Completly ignored in all the celtics bashing is that our defense has been pretty good even tho melo went crazy last night they only shot 35% I think they shot below 40% in game 1 too as long as we rebound more, and the bench plays better I think we'll be good for the rest of the series

Yeah, I am not sure how anyone can complain about KG's play.  He has played great over the first two games.  I have a feeling anyone criticizing KG just looked at the box score after game 1, and didn't actually watch the game.  He played tremendous defense, and, along with JO, dominated the paint.  The fact that Amare scored a bunch of points was done in spite of KG's effort, rather than because of it.  Amare was an absolute monster, and hit impossible shot after impossible shot.

As for the C's on the whole, I understand that they have not been as impressive as some expected, but this is the playoffs, and the Knicks have been playing out of their minds.  The C's certainly need to get better if they are going to go deep into the playoffs, but they are still playing very well, and are a few adjustments away from being at the top of their games.

I also love the fact that they are having to work hard for these wins.  What this team needed more than anything coming into the playoffs was some opportunities to build some chemistry while playing in a high intensity situation.  If they are able to work out the kinks, this experience is going to be huge in getting them prepared for next round.

Sounds like Skip had his oh-so-clever nickname all written up midway through the 4th and couldn't be bothered to come up with something different after the ending.

Honestly I can't watch any sports pundit shows except for PTI.  It's all just exaggerated opinions and minimal information.  The online stuff I'm reading has mostly been dumping on the Knicks for falling short, and isn't really saying much about us either way except for KG's big finish.

I just can't say our defense has been good when we struggle to rebound the ball like we do.  Rebounding is a pretty critical aspect of a team's defense.

Agree completely.  KG has not been a problem.  He's been solid as a rock so far as has Ray and Rondo.  Pierce and JO have had a few massive peaks and a couple of minor valleys, but it's the bench that's been non-existent.  That's the reason we are struggling to win these games.

I recall Orlando destroying the hawks last year in round two and they were anointed the best in the east...same with the cavs. Each series is its own season. Do the celtics need to pick it up? Yes. But they are playing hard.  Remember Chris Paul pulled a carmelo vs la and the lakers lost. The hornets have about as much talent as the knicks last night...I get the sense the Celtics really don't take the knicks seriously and they know they can have lapses and still win. I don't expect this vs miami

I am pretty sure the #1 indicator of winning the ball game is a + FG% and also a player who gets a triple double.

I completely agree with this post...

Bull struggle to beat an 8th seed, and it just shows why Rose should be MVP in everyones mind.

The C's play tought games against a 6 seed and we get limited love for our end of game execution.

It's the playoffs.  Games are going to be tight no matter who you play!

If the team can execute when it counts, that's what's important.

I also think these close games should help galvanize our new guys with the old guys much like the tough games in 2008 did for our team.  Blow out games would not do that.
