& Skip Bayless just had the NERVE to call Kevin Garnett "Kevin GarNOTT" after what he did at the end of the game lastnight?? I just turned off first take.
Yeah, I am not sure how anyone can complain about KG's play. He has played great over the first two games. I have a feeling anyone criticizing KG just looked at the box score after game 1, and didn't actually watch the game. He played tremendous defense, and, along with JO, dominated the paint. The fact that Amare scored a bunch of points was done in spite of KG's effort, rather than because of it. Amare was an absolute monster, and hit impossible shot after impossible shot.
As for the C's on the whole, I understand that they have not been as impressive as some expected, but this is the playoffs, and the Knicks have been playing out of their minds. The C's certainly need to get better if they are going to go deep into the playoffs, but they are still playing very well, and are a few adjustments away from being at the top of their games.
I also love the fact that they are having to work hard for these wins. What this team needed more than anything coming into the playoffs was some opportunities to build some chemistry while playing in a high intensity situation. If they are able to work out the kinks, this experience is going to be huge in getting them prepared for next round.
