It'll be tough to beat Miami 4x if any team could do it I see us but we need Shaq IMO

I think the Bulls can definitely do it.  Rose should be able to cut inside and get their bigs in foul trouble.  They don't have anybody to match up with Noah, and they have solid wing defenders who can spread the floor fairly well.

I'd certainly give the Bulls a better chance than the C's.
Chris Bosh matches up very well with Noah.

Joel Anthony would probably do a better job on Carlos Boozer than Bosh would anyway. Boozer's physical play and sheer strength being more of a problem for Bosh than a guy like Noah. Dampier or Big Z wouldn't be able to check Booz though so Bosh would have to take him when they are on the court. Or else try LeBron on Boozer - also far from ideal.

Jason Terry has been lethal here in the first half. Beating his man, getting into the paint and drawing fouls. Nailing jump shots. Seemingly at will. Portland can't stop him.

13 points in 10 minutes on 4-4 FGAs and 4-5 FTAs. No turnovers which was big after Dallas' early miscues.

Skeptical about Brandon Roy's performance.

Playing like the Brandon Roy of old rather than the post injury Brandon Roy. He is having one of those good nights where his legs are there and he's looking to make those plays that he used to be able to make but isn't able to make consistently anymore ... and for the most part they are working which is great for the here and now ... but highly unlikely to be sustainable throughout the rest of the series.

I would much prefer to see him trying to take better advantage of his size when Dallas has a smaller guy on him than see him rely on his quickness / explosiveness to create separation and then take that jumper off the dribble.

Roy is a terrific post player (scorer and playmaker) and also shows great strength in holding off smaller guards on pick and rolls when he gets a step after going around the screen (strength in holding off defender rather than quickness on a blow by drive in PnR). I'd like to see him exploit those elements of his game.

Play more like Detroit Pistons T-Mac than post injury Rockets T-Mac.

Problem here is that Roy is neither as big as T-Mac nor as good a passer.

It was nice seeing him play like the Brandon Roy of old, love when he hit the three and teared up after

I'm not sure why, but I always find myself rooting against the Blazers.  Even though I have no reason not to, I don't particularly like the Blazers.

I'd really like to see the Mavericks in the Finals.  I think they can do it.  I like their combination of size, shooting, and rebounding.

A Mavs vs. Celtics Finals would be pretty fun to watch.

The Jet has it going.

I actually think this Dallas team has a chance against LA if that series eventually happens. Dallas is also a top post defense team like New Orleans and actually have the offensive firepower to compete night in and night out. The whole "who guards Kobe" issue may be a big one, though.

It's like that for quite a few people. I think the "Portland Jail Blazers" era definitely tainted people's view of the franchise as a whole.

Problem here is that Roy is neither as big as T-Mac nor as good a passer.
Brandon Roy is a terrific passer, one of the best passing wings in the league, and, when he has Jason Terry on him he has a huge size advantage.

Jason Terry was covering him throughout the early period of the second quarter. About 4-5 straight minutes to start the period.

But yeah when a true wing player is on him, Brandon rarely has enough of a size advantage to exploit this. DeShawn Stevenson guarded him there for a period (after Terry checked out) and Stevenson is what 230+lbs?? ... and very physical defensively ... If you are Dallas you are happy defending Brandon in the post one-on-one with a guy like him.

I would like to see what he could do against Kidd though. Not sure how that one plays out. Kidd is pretty good and has good size but Brandon is a bit bigger and very talented offensively in the post. I'd like to see what Brandon could do with that.

Those three guys seem to be the main defenders Brandon has had on him in this series.

Marion has one of the weirdest skillsets in the league for his position.

Roy is not big enough to defend Marion in the post.

Very underrated post player is Shawn Marion. Give him a finesse three or a smaller wing and he can destroy those guys in the post.

Jason Terry = 26 points on 9-10 FGAs, 4-5 from three, 4-5 FTAs. 6 assists, 1 turnover.

Great start to the fourth by Portland. I hope they can pull this game out.
