Quote
Rajon Rondo turned in another of those mind-bogglingly erratic games in which he seems overwhelmed by the intensity and significance of the moment. He had just five assists in 37 minutes and appeared afraid to attempt a layup with a defender within 20 feet.

Yet, when approached on his way to the team bus after not making himself available to the media, Rondo appeared strangely confident.

“I’ll take a lot of responsibility and we’ll be right when the time comes,’’ he said. “I know the time is basically right now, but when we touch that floor in the first game of the playoffs, we’ll be ready.’’

When asked if he was confident about that statement, he smiled and said: “I said it.’’

Hope so.

Okay. Whatever you say, Rajon. Maybe teams should start paying players only for the games they really try.

That'd be awesome, pay cuts for sub par performances.

He better be because I'm tired of his erratic play of the last month or so;  shows up and plays superbly one night and disappears or plays poorly the next.

As a fan, this kind of talk is an insult to me. It basically says, sorry to all of you suckers (me) who pay for tickets during the season, because we/I don't really care and we/I play just good enough to win and get in the playoffs.

Yup, it's frustrating.  But should we be surprised?  It is the same thing we saw last year, and now they are doing it with the preconcieved notion that it actually worked last year.

Like it or not, these guys have been on cruise control for a while now.  It sucks as a fan, but its just reality.

Now, I just hope they can actually turn it on, like they clearly think they can.

This is what I want to hear. In my opinion he is nervous about going to the bucket and further injuring all that ails him. Once the playoffs come he will attack the basket like a man possessed, because if he doesn't we might struggle to get out of the first round.

Why do you think regular season tickets are so much cheaper  ;)

Actually, this year they gave season ticketholders a deal and are giving us all playoff tickets for the first round price!

Well there you go.  Even the front office knew our team was going to check out for the second half of the season so they gave you a break.
