I accepted a while back we more than likely weren't going to win the Championship this year.

I'm now in 'Anyone but the Lakers' mode. Come on Bulls!!!

I'm not ready to give up yet, but we sure didn't look like contenders against either Chicago or Miami.

People keep pointing to last year, which is fair.  However, even last year we managed to pull out of our slide to beat the Cavs late in the season.  This year, we just didn't show up against our two biggest Eastern rivals.

Yeah, it's hard to say but this feels completely different than last season.  I have no confidence whatsoever in this team to win beyond the first round.  Even the first round might be a struggle.  This team is ripe for an upset, and honestly, they deserve it.

Without Shaq coming back healthy this isn’t premature...

I would be more concerned about the first round if the C's were facing a more talented opponent.

Say if they were facing a Portland Trailblazers or Denver Nuggets team ... then I'd be worried ... since the C's will likely still be working their way back to full health during that series.

Getting Shaq back into the mix, starting to increase JO's minutes and getting BBD enough rest to bring some life back into those tired legs of his.

But New York or Phily? I just can't see either of those teams mounting a strong enough challenge to knock Boston off in a seven game series ... even if they are not healthy.

They don't need Shaq to beat the Knicks.

One positive from today - Miami (as well as Chicago) will now probably have HCA over the Lakers if they meet in the Finals... *sigh*

That's the first true positive thing that somebody has mentioned yet.  That actually make me feel a bit better.  Thanks.  :)
