Glen Davis is a great 10th or 11th player, off the bench, 5 min per game player.  Please dont ask more of him, and please dont pay him more than the minimum.  PERIOD!!!  (by the way why is he on our team and shooting whenever he feels like it.  )

I didn't want to create a new topic concerning BBD, so i thought i'd just bump this one. I have absolutely had it with BBD. He is one of the most selfish players i have ever seen. I can count numerous times in today's game where he would slip the pick prematurely so that he could look for his own shot. I can also count numerous times in today's game when he forced a shot with teammates standing WIDE OPEN on the 3 point line. I'm sorry, but BBD brings more negative than positive IMO. He is too short to guard the PF or center position. He cannot box out or rebound. He shoots a low percentage from the field, chucks the ball when teammates are wide open, and slips picks early to look for his own offense. He should never play more than 10 or 15 minutes in any game, and i can't wait for him to find a new team in the offseason.

His legs seem completely dead. I'm not sure if it's injury related or he's just tired. Either way, rest him till the playoffs. At this point, I don't care if we lose the rest of the regular season games.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

I'm ready to let BBD walk. If there is a season next year, and a new CBA, hopefully we can sign Jeff Green to a reasonable contract and with a summer of practice under his belt he can be much more effective than this season. That is also part of the reason I didn't like the trade. It happened to close to the end of the season.

BBD to me has hit his ceiling and is only going to plateau.

Glen is better than a 10th or 11th player, I think hes just fine as a 6th man, when he stays in the paint and around the basket, yea he can knock down the jumper but he shoots and shoots and shoots and forgets where hes effective most, I call him "The Nate Robinson of PF's" because of how he fires jumpers and constantly bricks haha. But I do agree with some of the posts above, Glen looks tired but lets finish this season off strong vs Wash and especially NY, I hope we smash NY on wed, get in their heads.

apparently glen davis is the go to guy no matter who is on the floor. he is a 15 foot jumper master that doesn't see the need to pass nor put the ball on the floor and post up anymore. i appreciate how he single handedly kills any offensive momentum the Cs have anytime he comes in the game

I think this is spot on. We seem to have a nice flow of the offense until he checks in the game and then we struggle most games. Definitely his poor shooting decisions and bad results hurt, but his stopping of the ball kills us as well. Hopefully Shaq can come back healthy enough to give us 20-25 minutes and JO can be healthy enough to give us the rest, because BBD is a momentum killer and hurts us more than he helps.

Doc hopefully saw how well the starting unit gelled with Green, nearly coming all the way back very quickly. He's been hiding behind ignorant blame on Rondo, completely unfair. Now Bull's Rose and Bill Simmons might well have as called out Baby and Krstic with their admissions. Whoever is still making excuses for Baby being a 10th player or 11th man, doesn't realize Baby's impact on this team's weak reputation now. Last few games, opponents have grown a pair going after our guys, where was Baby?

Davis is 15-20 minute player. Whenever he is given more minutes than that, he's provided a role which he can't fulfill, tries to do too much, and makes mistakes.

yup
add to that that imho BBD should get 1O a game top with a Celtic healthy roster
Jeff green can do anything that BBD does this days other than boxing out
and hes not trying to do that anymore

It's very simple, by now if Baby comes in and you are losing your lead or losing the battle on the boards why not get him the hell out of the game. All you are doing is destroying your team then having stupid fans blame any other player for his limitations. This fool is getting complete free ride. Yeah I said it and if you a fan of Baby then you can take it and do nothing at all.

The biggest problem with Davis right now is that he has no fear of losing minutes. In other words, he's too comfortable. In the past, he was challenged for his minutes, didn't want to make mistakes, and knew his job could always be taken.

The problems are the increasing responsibilities we are asking Davis to produce and he hasn't.

hopefully Doc was giving/learned a lesson to/about baby in the 4th quarter when he played Jeff Green at the 4 and KG at the 5 instead of baby..

they were actually able to get the score down to 10pts for abit with that lineup.
