Really, The Big Show and the rest of EEI are all Blow Hards!  I stopped listening to Sports Radio in Boston because of them and moved to Sirius XM.  I was thrilled when 98.5 came to life, now if they would get rid of the awful morning show, it would be perfect.

Really, The Big Show and the rest of EEI are all Blow Hards!  I stopped listening to Sports Radio in Boston because of them and moved to Sirius XM.  I was thrilled when 98.5 came to life, now if they would get rid of the awful morning show, it would be perfect.

I will agree with that too, the Morning show is absolutely terrible if you are interested in SPORTS radio.  I know alot of people think that its entertaining, but they are completely un-informed on sports

He's the best radio guy in town by far. If that means attacking the "Green Team" for dumping all over JO and Shaq last year, then calling them saviors this year... so be it. He's right.

He goes after Neely until he is on the phone and then he puckers up big time.  He is spineless, trashes peeople when they won't talk to him.  Course that is the M.O. of the sportshub cause the morning show did the same thing to Dale Arnold.

I'd encourage you to give them another try. The overall tone of the show has significantly changed since they added Michael Holley. A lot of the guys who are "blowhards" (and I know exactly who you're talking about) have pretty much been removed.

It's nice, because Michael isn't afraid to call Ordway out when he's not making sense or not listening to a caller.

I'd take Felger over Tanguay any day on any topic. Tommy was just trying to stick up for his guy. Then of course you have the genius commentary of Donny as well.  I think Donny and Tanguay are good for putting me to sleep, but nothing resembling sports commentary.

When was the last time you were like "Wow.  Tanguay and Donnie have really interesting and thought provoking insight. I could never have come up with that on my own. Wow they really understand this stuff. They really add to my understanding of the Celts?"

Can't stand "Felger & Mazz".  I've been back on the Big Show for a while and its gotten much better since they added Holley. 

Felger is just an attention seeker with his contrarian stances.  Its a schtick but it grows old real fast.  He's pretty full of himself these days.  Mazz is just a "Yes" man and pretty annoying. Doesn't know squat about basketball.  There are other guys in town I prefer even on the topic of baseball which is supposed to be his strong suit.

The 10-2 slot is such a wasteland on both stations now.  I usually find myself switching over to Pandora or Sirius and back to sports radio when the 2pm (1pm my time) shows start.  Once in a while, I give Mut & Merloni a listen but its pretty bland.

I only listen to Mutt and Merloni so that I can text in every time that Mutt says, "In a tough spot."  It would be a great drinking game.

It was funny, I had texted like 5 times one day and then he goes, "And your right texter in the 781, the changes to the kickoff rules does put the patriots in a tough spot, I probably said that a bit to much today."

I like Felger. I think he's usually spot-on with his analysis, and he's pretty funny.

He hates basketball because he thinks the refs are crooked... a lot of posters here (and maybe Tommy for that matter) seem to share that view. I disagree with him, but he makes some good points about the sport sometimes.

I actually love BOTH drive time shows. I wish one of them would move 10-2, because both midday shows are TERRIBLE.

Felger doesn't just trash people for the sake of it. It is just his TONALITY...

I cannot listen to that afternoon 98.5 show.  Between Mazz's whining and Felgers obnoxious and illogical put downs, it's one of the worst shows in the world to listen to.  The only time I ever switched to it was when the 1-877-kars for kids commercial came on EEI (drives me crazy).  But Felger/Mazz is so bad I just go straight to NPR instead now.
