Felger just does his Howard Cosell act every Sunday night.  The more you hate him the happier he is.

I'm surprised he doesn't sell FELGER SUCKS t-shirts.

I find him entertaining and usually watch him on Sunday night.

I enjoy him better than Gary Tanguay who is the worst mindless homer of all time. Felger hates the Green Teamers like Tanguay it's nice to hear another point of view.

Occasionally Felger actually does make a good point.  Not that often though.

he is an actor who plays the agitator role ala skip bayless. Without guys like Felger mixing things up sports radio & TV would otherwise be dull.

Skip Bayless only comments on the sports he’s a fan of, and the teams and players he follows closely. That’s not the case with Felger.

Thing is if you are hating on Felger you are doing exactly what he wants. He acts the way he does purposely to evoke a reaction to get you to come back and listen and watch what other things he might say that will anger you.

Ignore him or don't watch him and he will eventually go away.

Yes this is 100% an act.  if possible I would mut felger and only listen to Mazz.  I could probably set up a filter so only high pitched noises such as Mazz make it through but that would be alot of work.  But ya, Felger is terrible.  He has the same tired act as alot of people here on the blog.  Never happy, always looking to for a reason to complain.  But that makes for good sports radio because him sounding like a 5 year old throwing a temper tantrum makes more good radio

I would say about 80 percent of what Felger does is an act. I am not a huge fan, but I find him entertaining and take him with a grain of salt.

You could be correct.
However,  what other city has its lead anchor hating on all of its teams, promotes that person as the face of its station?

He is the Nancy Grace of Boston Sports.  He is typical of modern media.  Instill fear, inspire nothing positive, create anxiety; just provoke you enough to see what happens next.
Meanwhile they will have a person calling around to sell advertising.  Felger is a hyperbolic fiend!!  Send him to NY or LA or Miami!

Now go out and find me the next Johnny Most and I'll forgive Comcast for the Felgerlicious Flop they call a sports show.

Not only that. Have you heard the way he treats callers on the Sports Hub? His guests? The way he puts down Tanguay, Heinsohn, Maxwell, Dickerson and ALL those who cover and follow the Celtics?

It's ridiculous. If I treated people at work the way he does, I would've been fired a LONG, LONG time ago. But unfortunately that's just the world we live in today.

The as*hol*s get ahead in life and the nice people get the shaft. What gets me even more is that people respond more to miserable people like Felger as opposed to level headed, down to earth people.

Say what you want about Felger but he really goes out on a limb and he is right A LOT.

He was right about Manny when Francona called him an idiot, he was right about Randy Moss when the whole New England area called him an idiot, I think he is going to end up being right about this ongoing Rondo issue, and I am glad there is someone out there that will discuss it.

I used to, but find now that I can tolerate him more.  I guess it's because he's proven himself right on many occasions.  I just have to overlook the fact he hates my beloved C's.

he makes fun of those guys because it is the only way that he can make himself look better on basketball.  Meanwhile his head is so far up Cam Neely's butt he can see out his mouth.
