It seems like this slump is bigger than one person, or just the perkins trade, or any one injury.  It is almost like clockwork once we get a lead we get complacent and are practically expecting to lose our lead.  It is hard to see after how badly the team has played in the last few weeks that they can just turn it on in the playoffs.  I believe they need to turn things around NOW, not later.

Probably true, and well said.  Welcome to the blog, and TP.

That said, I continue to blame the Perkins trade; Danny felt the need to test the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" mantra, and it's biting us.

This team aint makin it out of the second round. Even if they do, they will never beat the lakers. i've seen enough. will be back for the second round of the playoffs if we make it that far. later guys.
Andy Bernard doesnt lose constests. He wins them, or he quits them because they're unfair.

Looks like I am glad I was out and missed the first three quarters. What is up with pierce and his transformation to a three point specialist? So, could Orlando catch the celts and push them to the fourth seed?  Has doc quit yet?

It's official, the Celtics have blown this lead and, of course, it's ALL Rondo's fault.

Wait, what's that? He's not playing tonight?!

Well, I'm sure its still his fault and within 10 minutes of the game ending SOMEONE will open a thread explaining why what happened tonight is Rondo's fault.

Can wait to see this explanation because, of course, the Celtics recent demise couldn't be the fault of THE ENTIRE TEAM. Nope. Has to be all Rondo.

We're losing because he couldn't play through his so-called "injury".

Of course if he did play, we would be losing by 20 right now.

Basically, everything is Rondo's fault.

50 wins...they can just stop now...settle for the 3 or 4 seed and just flip that switch ::)

Age has finally caught up to the Celtics lol.

Dang, Charles was right, their legs wouldnt hold up. They just hit the old age wall, teams full of elderly role-players and a #21 pick point guard that cant shoot. This sucks.

WOW!

Look at that ball movement!

Rondo is soooo baddddd! Our offense is 5 times better when hes on the bench, hes a ball stopper and offense killer.

Roy, you're forgetting that top 10 "protected" pick we got from the Clippers...all the money we saved by trading Perk...and we got a terrific offensive Center. How can you ignore all that? Danny got away with highway robbery...there is warrant out for his arrest in OKC.

Will the Celtics EVER be able to beat a team where the enemy is missing their best player?

Man, I hope all playoff teams are fully healthy, if anyone is injured on the opposing team we are gonna get swept.

That's the key to beating the celtics. If we face miami in the playoffs, the Heat should bench Lebron and say that he's injured. We will get swept.
