this is just disgraceful. again, sometimes your shots aren't falling from the outside. when that happens, you attack. we decided to just keep shooting jumpers tonight. also, we are letting baby (again) be our leading shot taker, which is just ridiculous. if we lose this game, i'd hope doc just benches the starters for the next game.

It's official, the Celtics have blown this lead and, of course, it's ALL Rondo's fault.

Wait, what's that? He's not playing tonight?!

Well, I'm sure its still his fault and within 10 minutes of the game ending SOMEONE will open a thread explaining why what happened tonight is Rondo's fault.

Can wait to see this explanation because, of course, the Celtics recent demise couldn't be the fault of THE ENTIRE TEAM. Nope. Has to be all Rondo.

Is this rock bottom?  Please tell me this is rock bottom.
rock bottom is when we face the sixers in the playoffs and lose.  or when we barely scrape past the sixers and then get embarassed utterly by the heat

unfortunately we would probably have a harder time beating the sixers than we would the heat

It seems like this slump is bigger than one person, or just the perkins trade, or any one injury.  It is almost like clockwork once we get a lead we get complacent and are practically expecting to lose our lead.  It is hard to see after how badly the team has played in the last few weeks that they can just turn it on in the playoffs.  I believe they need to turn things around NOW, not later.

  • It's not hard to work hard.
This is the second game in a row I've turned it on to see the Celts with a 10 point lead, just in time to watch it evaporate.

If they lose this one I might need to try a new strategy: turn it off as soon as the Celts pick up a lead.
McHale's favorite ruse is putting paper in the mouths of sleeping teammates. "Try using one of these cocktail napkins," he said. "When just the edge sticks out of a guy's mouth, it looks like he's got fangs. The best part is when he wakes up."

Shot selection has been worse than normal - which is saying something - over the last two quarters.

Will the Celtics EVER be able to beat a team where the enemy is missing their best player?

Man, I hope all playoff teams are fully healthy, if anyone is injured on the opposing team we are gonna get swept.
