And averaged 28.4 minutes in the game he played.

I know people want to blame the trade. But we haven't had Kendrick Perkins all season. And the troubles haven't started until now.

Maybe Jeff Green and Nenad Krstic are such detriments to this team that their actually worse then Marquis and Semih.

Might we benefit from having Perkins down low right now? You betcha.

But something else is to blame for the C's poor play of late.

That's really all I have to say.

Yep, duh.

Too easy to scapegoat the trade.

The real issues are more deep-seated than that.

The trade disrupted the entire team, was made too late in the season, and it there was/is not enough time to integrate new guys and get over the fact that a core, key guy was traded. It does not matter how many games or minutes Perk has played this year. The point is, right now the Celts are depending on a 39-year-old guy who just got a cortisone shot and is wearing a boot and who has not played in 2 months, and another guy who is coming of knee surgery and who has played 17 games this year.

Doesent matter how many games he played.

The simple fact that he was still ON THE TEAM is what made the Celtics who they were.

Perkins was the C's leader and backbone.

The fact he was sitting on the bench every game supporting his team made the rest of the team better knowing that one day their leader would be back.

Explain, please.

1) Age
2) Over-reliance on outside shooting
2b) Lack of post-presence
3) Lack of depth due to poor health and inconsistent bench
4) Overindulgent coaching leading to lapses in focus, effort, and decision making.
5) Lack of size and athleticism resulting in poor rebounding, especially in protecting against offensive rebounds.
6) Inefficient crunch time offense / inability to manufacture shots when the opposing defense clamps down due to point #1 and a lack of a true primary offensive option.

I could go on.

That's just not true.

It's

KG (Intensity)
PP (Pride)
RA (Longevity)

and so on and so forth.

Not to mention that last year we went 27-27 WITH a healthy Perk last year.  Their play has nothing really the trade.

It's possible the trade affected players mentally. Perhaps it shouldn't have but you never know? Perhaps trying to work new guys in isn't going over as well as we wanted?
Perhaps some of the guys are mad about the trade? I don't think any of us know for sure one way or the other.

Knowing that one of you're main guys is working his tail off to come back has got to be in the back of your mind. And it keeps you going thinking about when he'll return.
And then seeing him traded for guys who don't really "fit" into your team must be hard to take.

I will say this, I don't recall Doc saying anything about the team like what he did tonight last year.

One thing is for sure. If they don't work it out then the trade will be the reason that everyone blast Danny. And to be honest I think they should. How many times has a team
in first place of the east done a deal like this? I know we needed a someone to take over for Marquis Daniels. But I wasn't sold on this trade and I fear that my worries will come
true.
Peace through Tyranny

He wasn't sitting on the bench all season. He was away from the team rehabbing

Scal was here for a long time too. A good locker room guy, team player. But when he left, the Celtics kept winning. Hmmm....

Maybe cause he was hardly on the floor in the first place!
Like Scal, Perk who was a locker room guy and he hardly played this entire season. Celtics were 35-10 without him. Their defense was about the same. The Big 4 ALL shot a better percentage when Shaq was on the floor

The Perk trade had nothing to do with the so called "bad chemistry". I know its so much easier to do the blame game and sensationalize everything, but Celtics are way better than this
